• Chapter 42 has Lucifela invited to a tea party by Lady Florence Loer. While there, Lucifela drinks some of the tea and is bewildered upon the shocked reactions of several of the ladies. Eventually, it's revealed that the tea she received was made with leaves that have a foul taste, meaning the other guests were horrified at her not reacting to drinking something intended to be disgusting, even privately finding it tasty.
• Chapter 107 has a section where one of Zedekiah's errand boys reflects on how having Lucifela around is like having a second commander. A short montage is shown of Estelle giving Zedekiah's men a dressing down for being inefficient. Zedekiah can only ruefully admit he's lacked any opportunity to charm Lucifela by showing his skills as a ranger because she's just too competent for him.
