• From the Korean version, Light's reaction to Ryuk's first appearance.
  Light: This must be a hallucination!
  Ryuk: Can you see me? Do I look real strange?
  Light: Very.
• When Soichiro and the task force first meet L, we get this familiar moment:
  L: Why are you staring at me? Are you annoyed that I'm the only one who has sweets?
• In the London concert, L explains that he can't sit normally because it'll reduce his reasoning ability; as he says this, he childishly dumps a cup of candy onto the desk.
• Light tells Ryuk to shut up... in front of L. Then he has to find an excuse for why he yelled when, from L's perspective, no one said anything.
• Light is shocked when he finds out there's a second Kira out there… something that Ryuk already knew about.
  Light: A second Kira, is that even possible? [turns to Ryuk] Did you know about this?
  Ryuk: Yes. I can't wait to see what happens.
• L informs Soichiro that Mogi had been killed while tailing Light. In the London version, he's quite blunt about it.
  Soichiro: If Mogi suspects my son, let him tell me to my face.
  L: (dryly) Unfortunately, he cannot. He's dead.
• In a variation of a joke from the anime, an imprisoned Misa preaches about Kira's "love" and how he wants to cleanse the world of darkness. L responds, "Only Light?"
• In London, L calls out for Light in the abandoned warehouse… unknowingly prompting the stage lights to turn on, much to his amusement.
