Go To

With its trippy, surreal, and vaguely menacing tone, Bugbo has lots of funny moments to offer.

"Under the Oak"

  • Bugbo is talking to Gerbo when he suddenly cuts himself off mid-sentence because he is infuriated by the tree next to him.
Bugbo: How are you today, Gerb- what's this. (camera zooms out to show the tree)
Gerbo: Oh, this? It's a... big tree, I think.
Bugbo: (sternly) I don't like it. I want it gone. Joe, cut it down.
  • After finding a hole beneath the tree, Bugbo plays a game of "What Would Gradient Joe Do?" with the audience. The third option is "Do nothing," which turns out to be right, as Gradient Joe just stands there. Bugbo's response is very passive aggressive.
Bugbo: (quickly) Well, Joe, it's very unlike you to refuse to take initiative, but if that's the way you want to be, I can't stop you.
    (Beat)
(Bugbo shoves Gradient Joe down the hole)
  • When Bugbo and friends enter the underground circus, Bugbo wasn't expecting the Hollow Clown, leading to this hilariously awkward moment:
Bugbo: Even better, Gerbo. A whole, underground carnival, all to ourselves!
Hollow Clown: (interrupting Bugbo during the last word) Hello, you three.
Bugbo: Oh, I didn't- I didn't know you were here. Hello.
  • The Freeze-Frame Bonus in the circus where you can briefly see what looks like a nuke. With a clown face on it. It's never touched upon or explained, which leaves you to wonder why a circus of all places has a nuke.
  • When Bugbo and friends first meet the mayor, the mayor tries to call security. Bugbo says "That won't work" in a rather menacingly calm tone. This is never really explained or elaborated on. Considering some of Bugbo's other actions, it's very likely that he killed the security guards before coming onstage.
  • The scene where Bugbo kills the mayor in the middle of his speech.
Mayor: Hey, you can't be here! I'm giving a speech!
    Bugbo: (quickly) No you aren't.
(cut back to the mayor, who has suddenly become a lifeless skeleton)
