In the episode where Falfa and Shalsha are introduced, Shalsha mentions that the darker colored slimes are nice slimes while the evil ones have a paler color. When looking at the color of their aprons (and the way their hair is handled in the black and white pages of the manga), the same can be said about the two slime spirits when it came to their initial opinion about Azuza. Falfa, who already saw Azusa as her mother and wanted to warn her about her sister, wears an apron of a darker tone, while the manga uses grey tones for her blue hair. Meanwhile, Shalsha, who wanted to kill Azusa to avenge the deaths of all the slimes she killed, sports a lighter-toned apron, and outside of the highlights, her green hair is depicted in a white tone.
