• After Flo is born, instead of looking overjoyed over the birth of their daughter like you'd expect, her donkey and horse parents are shown looking down at her in shock. Are they as disdained by her hybrid nature as the other equines are? If so, this could explain why they completely disappear from the second half of the film. They weren't killed off; they abandoned her.
