Fridge Brilliance
  • The camera switches to a Terminator-esque red shaded P.O.V. Cam after Asimov takes the Red Eye and tears through the Syndicate. The drug gives the user Super-Toughness and Super-Strength...much like a Terminator.
    • Later on, he tries to use the drug again but is only able to take a small dose - as a result, it's less effectivenote  and he easily succumbs to a throat wound shortly afterwards.
  • Why is Faye's identity tape a VHS and not a Betamax, like the anime? Because VHS was the more widely used format worldwide, having won the Videotape Format War of the 1970s-80s. VHS was also still widely in use at the time of the airing of the original Cowboy Bebop (1998-99), while Betamax had been obsolete even in Japan for over a decade by that point.
  • Spike mentions in "Dog Star Swing" that dogs are harder to move than diamonds on the black market, but doesn't say why. In "Blue Crow Waltz", Stax says that it rains diamonds on Neptune. The Syndicate can't deal in diamonds as their rivals in the Neptune Cartel could flood the market at any time, sending the price of diamonds plummeting. This is why the Syndicate is so eager to set up a deal with the Neptune Cartel, to establish a monopoly and control the price.
