We Three Kings is a WWE fanfiction series written by HMSquared. It follows the lives of three OCs and the wrestlers they are based on:

  • Bálor: a Shadow (original supernatural being) based on Finn Bálor. He is the oldest of the three OCs, first appearing on August 20, 2018 in an unrelated work. Calm and refined most of the time, Bálor fights to keep his relationship with Finn stable.
  • Mox: a Shadow based on Jon Moxley. He is the middle child of the three OCs, first appearing on October 24, 2018 in an unrelated work. A chain-smoking Deadpan Snarker with the mouth of a sailor, Mox tends to state the obvious.
  • Sophia Rollins: a demon based on Seth Rollins. She is the youngest of the three OCs, first appearing on July 20, 2020 in "The Girl With The Silver Eyes". Fueled by a hatred for her "brother", Sophia lives to cause chaos whenever and wherever she wants.

Aside from the supernatural nature of the three main characters, the series tends to remain grounded in reality. It follows real life WWE events from the perspective of three snarky, sometimes blood-thirsty beings.

The series can be found here.

We Three Kings contains examples of:

  • Cain and Abel:
    • Seth is the Abel to Sophia's Cain. When they face off on TV, the whole thing is a bit more murky (Sophia disapproves of Seth's heel antics, but she ultimately attacks The Authors of Pain).
    • Bálor is technically the Cain to Finn's Abel, considering they share nearly identical DNA.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Mox and Sophia qualify for this: over half of their dialogue is pure snark.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Though it comes up as a throwaway joke, Sophia seems to draw the line at hurting children.
  • Evil vs. Evil: Sophia gets into fights with Heel Seth, Brock Lesnar, Sasha Banks, and Bayley. None of that stops her from being generally unpleasant.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: Sophia's normally brown eyes turn silver on command, usually when she's angry and about to break something.
  • No Hugging, No Kissing: None of the main characters have shown romantic interest in one another.
  • Smoking Is Cool: Mox, whose personality is pretty similar to Jon Moxley's, rarely appears without a cigarette between his fingers.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Subverted. Upon learning about Becky's pregnancy in "Progeny", Sophia says that she needs a new victim to torture. When Seth starts to get angry, she admits the whole thing was a joke.
