The Birb is Not Amused
is a Danny Phantom and Batman crossover where Danny gets stuck as a bird in the Batcave. Hilarity Ensues.
- Doom Magnet: Danny goes out without his sister in Bludhaven one time, and the bus he takes ends up being part of a plot by cultists, resulting in him being drugged, kidnapped to Gotham (which he was trying to avoid) along with his entire bus, and ultimately trapped in avian form after a failed cultist ritual, unable to leave the city for some reason.
- Everyone Knows Morse: Subverted, Danny keeps trying to tap out a SOS to the Bats, but they fail to recognize it.
- Imperfect Ritual: Danny manages to interfere with the ritual while the Bats are f
- Forced Transformation: After the ritual fails, Danny is transformed into a bird, much to his dismey.
- Not Me This Time: When Danny (still a bird) shows up in the Batcave, the initial assumption is that Damian snuck him in, when he really just accidentally hitched a ride in the Batmobile.
- Simple Solution Won't Work:
- Danny initially tries to use his new bird body to simply fly to Jazz, but he's unable to leave Gotham.
- Once he ends up in the Batcave, he tries to use Morse code to signal to the Bats that he needs help, but they fail to pick up on it, to his annoyance.
