Sayu Yagami knows that Light is Kira...
She Knows provides examples of:
- Butterfly of Doom: Sayu asks Light for help with her homework on the day that he found the Death Note. This leads to her seeing Light’s first killing with the Death Note, finding out that he is Kira and, eventually, her death at the hands of Light.
- Downer Ending: Light kills Sayu.
- Manipulative Bastard: Light.
- Mind-Control Eyes: The light in Sayu's eyes is gone when she's being controlled by the Deah Note.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Sayu does this in order to get Light to do her homework.
- Pyrrhic Victory: For Light at the end. Yeah, he hasn't been caught for his crimes yet, but he achieved this by killing his sister.
- Precision F-Strike: Sayu, after finding out that Light killed the FBI agents.“Yesterday. When you went out. You…”
Light sharply inhaled. He didn’t know what to say to that.
And that was all the confirmation she needed.
“What the fuck?” Sayu choked out. Her voice was broken. “You killed them. You actually— Oh my god. What the fuck.” - Rule of Three: Sayu confronts Light thrice in this story:
- The first time, after finding out he is Kira.
- The second time, after he murdered Lind L. Tailor.
- The third time, after he murdered the FBI agents. It's after this that he kills her.
- Sororicide: Light kills Sayu after she finds out that he killed the FBI agents, in order to prevent her from revealing that he's Kira.
- The Promise: Light makes Sayu promise to never tell anyone that he's Kira and Sayu makes Light promise to only write the names of the worst criminals in the Death Note. He doesn't keep his promise and kills her before she has the chance to break hers.
