Once We are Descendants
is a fanfic by Number Ten. It is a crossover between Descendants and Once Upon a Time.
The premise is this: When Mal of Auradon and Crystal of Storybrooke mix the wrong spells together, both end up accidentally opening a portal and sending the students of Auradon to Storybrooke. With no other choice but to work together, the teens meet their prospective "parents" of the small town. Some fit in easily, but some don't. What happens when a villainous character wants to use this their way?
Once We Are Descendants provides examples of:
- How Do I Shot Web?: While Mal knows that she already has magic, - Evie, Jay and Carlos learn that they also have forms of magic and need to learn how to control them.
- Trappedin Another World: Basically the whole premise of the story, where Mal and her classmates become "trapped" in The Land Without Magic, specifically in Storybrooke, and the characters who live within the world.
- True Love and True Love's Kiss: Many characters in the town share true love including Emma Swan and Killian Jones/Captain Hook, Snow White and Prince Charming, Mal and Ben, and Evie and Doug.
- Pregnant Badass: Emma Swan is pregnant throughout the story and does not let this slow her down.
- Empty Nest: Henry has left home by the time of the story, leaving both Emma, his biological mother, and Regina, his adopted mother, with a sense of emptiness, a void that is filled, especially for Regina with the appearance of her alternate daughter Evie.
- You're Not My Father: Cliche as ever, but completely applicable to this entire situation because the children of Auradon are adopted by the citizens of Storybrooke.
