Cap-Force
is a Mega Crossover between the different franchises of Capcom by Frequent Reader.
Inspired by Marvel's Infinity Stone Saga, Cap-Force is a different take on that, but within the Capcomverse. An unknown entity created as a living weapon went rogue and nearly destroyed the multiverse until it had finally been taken down, but instead of being killed, it wound up thrown into another alternate multiverse where it plotted to recreate everything to its vision. Heroes from different titles are brought together when unnatural occurrences started happening not only around the world but through space and time.
Cap-Force provides examples of:
- Arbitrary Skepticism: Frank West and the Resident Evil cast are unable to believe in the existence of supernatural demons when they arrive in the world of Devil May Cry since the monsters they've fought had been created through horrifying science gone wrong. Edgeworth also refused to believe in the existence of supernatural beings when arrived in Demitri's castle, but is later called out on it after everything he had just witnessed earlier.
- Battle Strip: Jon Talbain once he goes into his werewolf form. Maki threw off her coat and is in her kunoichi gi before going into battle. Elena threw off her casual clothes where she is in her white capoeira bikini.
- Big Damn Heroes:
- Batsu, Hinata, Roy, and Tiffany manage to come to Hideo and Kyoko's aid when they get attacked by monster mooks.
- Captain Commando and his team assisted Cyber Blue and Yellow Iris when they are swarmed by robot guards. Later they are saved by Strider when fighting a clone of Meio.
- Blob Monster: The mooks that appear are humanoid blobs with weapon-shaped hands.
- Calling Your Attacks: As true to their home series, the casts of any of the fighting games do this.
- Empowered Badass Normal: As in their home series, Phoenix, Maya, Edgeworth, Pearl, Athena, and Apollo are unable to fight, but are given the power to do so by Morrigan.
- From Bad to Worse: Chris, Jill, Barry, Leon, and Claire were only trying to eradicate branches of Umbrella before getting pulled into the current crisis.
- I Need A Drink: The casts of Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Dead Rising, and Viewtiful Joe congregate at Dante's shop, which then gets swallowed up by a dimensional vortex. With no choice but to play the waiting game, Leon, Barry, and Chris needed a drink to calm their nerves. Luckily Dante had a minibar.
- Idol Singer: Felicia was on a singing tour at Metro City before a majority of the population literally vanished into dust.
- Lovable Sex Maniac: Joe immediately tried flirting with Felicia and Morrigan, right in front of Silvia.
- Mega Crossover: Includes characters from Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, Ghosts n' Goblins, Rival Schools, Megaman X, Captain Commando, Final Fight, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, Dead Rising, Strider, Power Stone, and much more.
- Rank Scales with Asskicking: Cody may be the new mayor of Metro City, but he still can fight with the best of them. Extends to Haggar being the former mayor.
- Reduced to Dust: The fate of most life throughout the multiverse through unknown reasons. This includes some of the cast and their families. Those left behind are trying to find a way to reverse it.
- Tempting Fate: Issun tells Sakuya that he hopes things will go on peacefully now that Amaterasu is in the Celestial Plain. Then the darkness came and started wrecking havoc on the multiverse...
