Sinking Ship Entertainment is a Canadian production and distribution company that was founded by J.J. Johnson, Blair Powers, and Matt Bishop in 2004. They are most well-known for their live-action/CGI hybrid series.
In 2016, Sinking Ship Entertainment produced its first film based on one of its biggest franchises, Odd Squad. Odd Squad: The Movie became enough of a success for them to continue making films, including Odd Squad: World Turned Odd and Dino Dana: The Movie. Within the same year, they acquired Picture Box Distribution, leading them to create a division specifically for the distribution of programming.
In 2019, an animation division of the company was created. Headed by award-winning producer Tanya Green, the division aims to focus on the creation of fully-animated works rather than live-action/CGI hybrid fare.
