Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (b. September 15, 1977 in Enugu, Nigeria) is a Nigerian-American author of novels, short stories and non-fiction.
She is often described as one of the most influential writers of the last decades, especially of modern African literature, with universally acclaimed works like Purple Hibiscus, Half of a Yellow Sun (2006) or Americanah.
