Georgia Bureau of Investigation:
Will Trent
- Covered in Scars: Will's body is covered in scars due to years of abuse in group homes and foster care. One on his neck is visible at all times even when he's wearing collared shirts.
- Dark and Troubled Past: His prostitute mother Lucy was murdered in the 1980s by a serial killer.
- "L" Is for "Dyslexia": Will is severely dyslexic and struggles to read even with the help of specialized lenses. He keeps his condition a secret from the GBI and relies on audio notes to keep track of his cases.
- Sherlock Scan: Will is very good at spotting clues and threads in the cases he investigates. He attributes this to his dyslexia, as he struggled to identify things with written labels and needed to learn how to spot differences in design to figure out what he needed.
