The main character of the series. She works as an agent of the Rhythm League, and participated in the King for Another Day Tournament.- Adaptational Sexuality: While her sexuality was never explicitly stated in either the games or KFAD, she is depicted as a lesbian here.
MC Adore
First appearance: What Happened After
Hakuko's loving girlfriend. When she's not training her rhythm, she's creating jams with the Love Posse.- Adaptational Sexuality: She is pansexual.
Tori Duncan
First appearance: What Happened After
Hakuko's closest friend and a fellow resident of Songbird Tower.- Adaptational Sexuality: Though she already seemed to be interested in the Wrestler, she is depicted here as bisexual.
- Character Narrator: She serves as one for Duncan Family Story.
- Named by the Adaptation: She was previously known as just "Reporter."
Zoe Duncan
First appearance: My Sweet Butterfly
Tori's younger sister.- Adaptational Sexuality: Much like her sister, she is bisexual.
- Genki Girl: She's quite energetic.
- Squee: She gets to do this twice in her debut: Once when she realises that MC Adore has come to visit, and then again when she learns that Adore is autistic.

The guy who runs the Perfect Campaign.- Adaptational Jerkass: He's certainly a lot ruder than in the game, outright berating Hakuko and the Chorus Kids for percieved slights.
- Gratuitous Russian: He peppers his dialogue with Russian words throughout What Happened After.

A trio of young nonverbal boys who dream of joining the Super Smash Bros. Tournament's Ultimate Circuit.- Cute Mute: They never communicate with words, instead using a drawing pad.
The Duncan family
Silas Duncan
First appearance: Duncan Family Story
The father of Tori and Zoe.- Abusive Parents: In his first appearance, he drives Zoe to tears by screaming at her, slaps her to the floor, and makes her go hungry for "talking back." It's enough to make Zoe genuinely afraid of angering him, and it's later hinted that his abuse has caused her to develop anxiety and depression.
