The second Time Patroller and the main hero of ''VideoGame/DragonBallXenoverse2''. After being mentored by Old Kai, The second Time Patroller is hand-picked by the Supreme Kai of Time, and helps them become a hero in their own right alongside the first protagonist.

* PowerCopying: Is incredibly skilled with Dragonball's brand called Mimicry, it's how WordOfGod says they're able to learn other fighter's techniques. Jaco's kind of freaked out by it.

* TheAce: On top of their class, personally chosen by the Supreme Kai of Time to deal with disturbances with the main timeline, fought every EvilOverlord, PhysicalGods (one being an Angel), galactic space pirates, a ''self-promoted'' space pirate, protector of Namekians, and is the one who [[spoiler:saves the current timeline from OneWingedAngel Mira]]. When Whis's training is completed, he claims that their level of raw natural talent puts his other students -- that is, ''Goku and Vegeta'' -- to shame. It’s even more hammered in with the fights with [[spoiler:corrupted Fusion Zamasu and Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku, [[DefeatingTheUndefeatable where you fight both at the apex of their power and stop them dead in their tracks, the former requiring a divine fusion to even equal him and the latter explicitly being beyond a mortal stronger than Destroyer Gods.]]]] In Frieza'spaceship missions, you can rank up to be Frieza's right hand man (or if you're his race even overthrown him) and be popular with his minions at the same time.

* GutturalGrowler: A male Time Patroller with Lanipator's voice has this effect, whenever he's not shouting.

* WouldHitAGirl: He doesn't care for gender or [[WouldHurtAChild age]] when it comes to the Future Warrior. If you get in his and Towa's way, he'll fight you regardless. Justified because you're meant to be an ever-increasing badass threat regardless.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Moreso an InformedAbility, but she ''did'' personally stop Demigra and his associates seventy-five million years before, and she was confident she could have handled Cell with little issue, both of which would make her ''easily'' one of the strongest Supreme Kais in the franchise. Officially shown in ''Xenoverse 2'' where she can tangle with the best of them.

* BoobsOfSteel: Her Time Power Unleashed form from ''Heroes'', where she unleashes her true power, she's pretty stacked. Depending on the art, this form makes her one of the bustiest female characters in the entire series.

* GenderNeutralWriting: Zig-zagged due to a rather...off translation. Some will always refer to you with male pronouns even if you're playing a bright pink, incredibly buxom female Majin or a moe Saiyan warrior, while others use gender-neutral pronouns and a rare few actually acknowledge your proper gender.

* BadassBaritone: Male Voice 6 is the deepest, practically evoking Creator/JamiesonPrice.

* ShowyInvincibleHero: The Majins when in Purification mode. They gain a special block that makes them completely invulnerable to everything in the game from regular melee attacks to the strongest ultimate attacks.

* BadassInCharge: The Field Commander for the Time Patrollers and undeniably one of the most badass powerful members.

* BadassArmy: The Time Patrol is an army made up of different races that are dedicated to fighting against many villains that threaten the timeline. Also, if the trailer to Ultra Pack 1 is anything to go by, the Time Patrol has, at most, over ''10,000'' Patrollers in their ranks.

* BonusBoss: In ''Xenoverse 2'' some appear as optional fights in many side missions, and are usually much stronger than the enemies of the mission. Defeating them can give you a Dragon Ball.
* CloseEnoughTimeline: How they operate. Explained in the sequel that [[spoiler:the little changes go away when Chronoa puts all the scrolls together]].

* VagueAge: The fact many Time Patrollers attend Orange Star High School implies the Time Patrollers are high schoolers in their late teens at least (and Gotenks has expressed annoyance that he's too young to join, implying a firm age requirment) Though the given fact that many of non-Earthling Patrollers age differently from humans makes their ages difficult to determine.

** The Majin race, in the backstory for ''Online'' is said to have slowly diluted their power as the generations went on (until your typical Majin was no more stronger than a typical Earthling or Namekian). Here, like Earthlings and Namekians, they're able to go toe to toe with Beerus.

* BareYourMidriff: The female can be played like this with several outfits, the most notable being Chi-Chi's outfit as a kid. The female Majin starts ''off'' this way.

* PowerCopying: Just like Cell, the majority of his techniques are borrowed from existing characters, mostly villains. He's given a selection of unique attacks in the the second DLC pack, but still somewhat sticks to this trope with the Galick Beam Cannon, an evil imitation of Vegeta's Galick Gun.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Within the Frieza's Spaceship time rift, the Time Patroller rises through the ranks of the Frieza Force by constantly overpowering their superiors. One of Frieza's race can even seize command of the organization by defeating Frieza himself (or Cooler, if the alternate path is taken).

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Moreso an InformedAbility, but she ''did'' personally stop Demigra and his associates seventy-five million years before, and she was confident she could have handled Cell with little issue, both of which would make her ''easily'' one of the strongest Supreme Kais in the franchise.

* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Despite being a Supreme Kai, her life is not linked in any way to a God of Destruction (Or any sort of time destroyer, for that matter) because she was introduced before the concept of the lives of both a Kai and a Destroyers were linked. But then, she's not the Supreme Kai of Universe 7 (or any of the other Universes), she's the Supreme Kai ''of Time''. There's no corresponding Destroyer of Time for her to be linked to.

* OlderThanSheLooks: She's just a millennium younger than the Elder Kai, but you would never guess it just by looking.

* NonActionGirl: She doesn't fight, but she is magically powerful, [[spoiler:since she sealed away Demigra in the cracks of time for 75 million years.]] {{Averted|Trope}} when she became a playable character in Version 1.15.00 for ''Xenoverse 2''.

* BadassNormal: For a Saiyan definition of one, Vegeta notices the Saiyan player hasn't became a Super Saiyan, assuming they are holding back from transforming as part of a special training regimen. They then [[HeroicMime tell]] him that they can't, to his genuine surprise. This leads them to train with Vegeta and Goku to do it.
** Just as applicable to the Earthling Time Patrollers, who are just as capable in the game as the other races when it comes to combat, all without the immensely powerful forms of said other races. [[spoiler:Later {DLC}s take this up a notch considering an Earthling TP is fully capable of throwing hands with ''Jiren.'']]

* HotScientist: Again, easily the most attractive character in the game, and she takes a scientific approach to much of what she does.

That said, either Future Warrior (who can take on the likes of Beerus) can be either Earthling or Namekian. {{Lampshade|Hanging}}d if you play an Earthling in ''2'', as several characters question just how an Earthling of all species is so powerful.

* AdaptationalPersonalityChange: DownplayedExample. A good chunk of Fu's dialogue in the English version of ''Xenoverse 2'' is added by his voice actor (Similar to Dameon Clark's interpretation of Cell), making him more of an eccentric dork than his Japanese version, but it's still a pretty faithful interpretation.

* BigBad: Of the first game, [[spoiler:first half]]. She is the one who corrupts all the villains up to Fat Buu, making them more powerful and aggressive. She also tries to wipe Future Trunks out of existence by having the Future Androids kill him and making Future Cell perfect so he can kill Trunks in case the Future Warrior saves Trunks from the androids. In the second game [[spoiler:she is a BigBadWannabe with Mira as the true BigBad of the second game]].

* LightningBruiser: Even moreso than the previous Future Warrior, as they can clash with opponents that put their predecessor in his place, and is fast enough to [[spoiler: [[BeyondTheImpossible outpace and overwhelm the automatic defensive capabilities of Goku in his Ultra Instinct state]].]]

* PassingTheTorch: [[spoiler:With the first Xenoverse character compromised (but not dead, only lost consciousness), they are the ones to stop Mira and Towa]].
* PhysicalGod: It’s outright stated by Future Zamasu when you complete their initiation that they possess God Energy, and that’s not getting into the amount of techniques and superpowers they can acquire as well as the fact they can fight and [[DefeatingTheUndefeatable defeat adversaries that would give even Goku and Vegeta trouble.]] Come DLC 6 and they unambiguously step into godhood territory with the inclusion of Super Saiyan Blue; well AFTER the Time Patroller was established to be at least on par with even [[StoryBreakerPower Fused Zamasu.]]

* RogueProtagonist: [[spoiler: They very briefly take up this role if they decide to disobey Elder Kai's order to capture Fu in DLC Pack 6 and instead end up protecting Fu from Goku when Elder Kai sent him over to attack Fu.]]

* SuperiorSuccessor: Unlike their predecessor, their techniques are much more vast and potent in scope, they possess much better control over their Super Saiyan forms, can access Super Saiyan 3 and can even go Super Saiyan Blue. [[spoiler: And they manage to (with a little outside help courtesy of Super Saiyan Blue Goku) permanently put down Mira after he’s powered up from absorbing a Time Egg.]]

* StoryBreakerPower: If you play early missions after levelling up at least almost-fully, then everybody you fight will '''learn''' the definition of the phrase CurbStompBattle. [[spoiler: That's not even getting into the story mode and Parallel Quests, where several times they're pitted against foes that gave Goku and Vegeta more trouble than ever, most notably [[DefeatingTheUndefeatable fighting Half Corrupted Fusion Zamasu to a dead standstill]] ''alone'' for a brief time, facing every villain from Z to Super/GT in succession and stomping them all, going toe to toe with [[WorldsStrongestMan Jiren,]] and even taking down [[BeyondTheImpossible Goku with the completed Ultra Instinct.]] Pretty impressive for a Saiyan capable of going Blue, but nothing short of mind-boggling if the TP were say, an Earthling.]]

* WorthyOpponent: Mira acknowledges the player as his rival [[spoiler:while he's dying]]. If the player trains with Vegeta (in the Capsule Corp time rift), he also acknowledges them as someone to surpass next to Goku. Goku fully regards them as this full stop [[spoiler: when they manage to keep up with him in their fight in DLC 6 and the feeling is only strengthened even moreso when they defeat Goku after he goes Ultra Instinct.]]
* WorldsStrongestMan: Regarded as this even moreso than the last Future Warrior as they manage to take down Final Form Mira, Goku Black, Future Zamasu and their Fusion, Demigra, a souped-up Dabura as well as [[spoiler: Ultra Instinct Goku.]] It’s a fair bet to say at this point that besides the Angels and Zeno, they are completely unstoppable.

* AdaptationalDumbass: No matter whether or not Xeno Trunks is related to ''Z'' or ''Super'' Trunks, ''no'' other version of the character makes questionable decisions like his Xeno incarnation. His biggest mistake in ''1'' was telling Beerus he and the patroller would take care of Demigra- which not only results in him getting his ass kicked immediately by the God of Destruction and Angel, but actively lets Demigra continue his plans and corrupt most of Toki Toki city. It gets worse in ''2'', to almost comical levels, where he's the ButtMonkey and gets trapped in Ginyu's body despite ''knowing'' about his abilities, allegedly can access higher transformations but never does, and perhaps most jarringly '''lets his guard down in the middle of an ongoing battle so Frieza can shoot him in the back.'''
* AlternateSelf: While it's questionable at times, he seems to be this for both the main timeline Xeno Trunks and the Future Trunks shown in the anime. This is evident in that Trunks is fully aware of the events occurring after he left the main timeline such as Majin Buu and ''Battle of Gods'', whereas when Future Trunks returned in ''Super'' he had no knowledge of Beerus and Whis, though it's possible [[spoiler:and seemingly confirmed in the Future Trunks saga events in Xenoverse 2]] that he was scouted by the Supreme Kai of Time ''after'' his return in Super.
** In Xenoverse 2 it's even revealed that Xeno Trunks created an alternate timeline where he saved the life of Future Gohan and succeeded in destroying Future Android 17 and 18, however this version of Xeno Trunks notes that he's trapped there, and the Supreme Kai of Time says she'll make the call on whether or not this timeline should be kept or not.
** In Xenoverse 2 DLC for the "Future Trunks" Saga, we actually see Xeno Trunks giving energy to the ''Anime/DragonBallSuper'' Future Trunks for his Spirit Bomb Sword, so either they're two distinct characters or the same character from different points in the same timeline (that Trunks's GT counterpart as well as his younger self from his timeline both also contribute energy lend to either scenario). The ending of the Future Trunks Saga makes this even ''more'' confusing: [[spoiler: After completing the quest, he sees the scrolls relating to the saga and refers to it as ''his'' crime of changing history, which solidifies that Future Trunks became a Time Patroller after the events of the saga, which would explain his knowledge of the events of the main timeline and Beerus and Whis]].

* BeingGoodSucks: A trait that carries over from the main Future Trunks, but it is much more pronounced in ''Xenoverse 2''. In ''2'', he has to see Future Gohan and his father die again, since it is the correct course of history. In Future Gohan's case, he knew has has to die, but couldn't bring himself to see him die again. [[spoiler: In an alternate timeline, he went out of his way to help Gohan kill Future 17 and 18]]. As for his father, he knows Vegeta had to give up his life to protect kid Trunks, and if the ending of the Future Trunks saga is any indication, he knows the weight of carrying his own crimes of altering history, but he just wants a world to have a good future.
* BigWhat: Lets out a big "Huuuuuuh?" when he finds that Mira has the gall to [[spoiler: disrespect ''Beerus''.]]

* HonorBeforeReason: [[spoiler: In the sequel, when the second Time Patroller is sent to help Future Gohan defeat Android 16, he could not help but help Gohan defeat 16. Of course Supreme Kai called him out for this. In the end, he is ForcedToWatch Gohan die again because he was destined to be killed by the Androids]].
** In the alternate ''History of Trunks'' story to see how the battle with the Androids would play out, [[spoiler: you take control of Future Gohan and defeat the Androids. Trunks tells him about other threats besides the Androids while the second protagonist has to decide whether to fix Trunks' interference or leave it be]]. Most players would rather leave it be, but Supreme Kai of Time states she gets the last call.

** A tragic example (which is possible) occurs in ''Xenoverse 2'' where [[spoiler: Trunks went out of his way to save Future Gohan despite being told not to. And he ''knows'' it's his job to correct history, not change it. Yet, he went to save Future Gohan despite his second Time Patrol partner being fairly capable of fending off Android 16 and Mira. And he is prevented from telling Gohan his fate. It gets worse in an alternate timeline where he knows he broke the rules and he knows he can't go back to the Time Patrol]].

* VoodooShark: Xenoverse 2 does this when it ''tries'' to make Xeno Trunks and Future Trunks one in the same, key word being ''tries''. By attempting to connect the two, they effectively make Trunks seem even more incompetent by not powering up to a stronger form beyond Super Saiyan even ''once'' despite the fact Future Trunks almost always tried to go to his stronger form first. They also completely ignore the fact that one Trunks has blue hair and the other has lavender, making the change worse by seemingly have it go back and forth for no reason.
