  • Their 1997 self-titled album is loaded with great songs to the point where many say there isn't a single bad song on the entire album.
    • "Semi-Charmed Life" screams the 90s. It's the most iconic song they've made and it's easy to see why. It's really catchy, so much so that it was even used in some of the trailers for The Tigger Movie (probably because of how energetic Tigger is, though things get weird when you realize that the song is about meth addiction). "Do-do-do, do-do-do-do" WILL get stuck in your head!
    • "Jumper", a heartwarming track about suicide prevention and leaving your past behind you to start over again. Most famous for its appearance in Yes-Man where Jim Carrey's character plays the song to save a man who is going to jump off a building, with the crowd below joining in.
    • "I Want You", a far more obscure example. It's mesmerizing and gorgeously haunting, not to mention the wonderfully dark lyrics. "Send me all your vampires..."
    • "The Background", probably the band's most heartbreaking song, is very depressing, yet absolutely beautiful. From the incredible, godlike outro to the phenomenal, haunting lyrics, it's nothing short of a masterpiece.
    • "Motorcycle Drive By". The calm intro building up to the epic guitar solo, with some of the most powerful lyrics in a 3EB song, all of the force and emotion in the climax before winding down. There's a good reason why so many fans say it's the best song not just from the album but from their entire discography.
  • Blue, their second album released in 1999, did not get the recognition it deserved. It's got some of the band's best:
    • "1000 Julys" shows guitarist Kevin Cadogan at his peak, with a wicked guitar riff in the opening and an equally awesome solo later on.
    • One of the band's most iconic songs (and rightfully so), "Never Let You Go" is a catchy earworm.
    • "Deep Inside of You" is another standout, with its spectacular bridge easily being the highlight. It unleashes all of the emotions, the pain of taking a relationship for granted ("We were broke and didn't know...") and, in the chilling outro, being alone and miserable after the fact.
    • "The Red Summer Sun", especially the complete version (with hidden ending) is just as badass. The outro is another phenomenal show of Cadogan's talent.note
    • Despite being very simple and short, "Anything" is an excellent opening track showing that a 3EB song doesn't have to be rich in lyrics to be awesome. Sadly, it's been long forgotten, even by their fanbase.
    • "An Ode To Maybe", also simple yet very catchy and memorable. The instrumentals match really well with the vocals, and we're treated to another epic guitar solo.
