  • "Quarter Past Midnight" has Dan's heavenly vocals over an amazing party rock beat. You can't not dance to it.
  • "Pompeii" is their most popular song for good reason. Dan's falsetto and pounding drums combine in a song that is as epic as it is tragic.
  • "Laura Palmer", with Large Ham vocals and a chilling keyboard, is a fitting tribute to Twin Peaks.
  • "Fake It" has some truly impressive falsetto in the chorus.
  • "Send Them Off!" uses the drums and vocals that typify Bastille in a deep song about jealousy.
  • "Things we Lost in the Fire" is an ear worm with amazing percussion.
  • "World Gone Mad" takes Dan's falsetto up to eleven and serves as a potent Tear Jerker, too.
  • "Blame" uses incredible backing vocals and pounding drums to tell the story of a gangster's revenge in an epic ballad.
  • "Glory" is an incredibly sweet love song enhanced by humming, violins, and some of Dan's best falsetto.
  • "Overjoyed" is very poignant thanks to its keyboard work.
  • "Oblivion", a Tear Jerker with epic violins and crooning vocals.
  • "Happier", a collaboration with Marshmello, is a sad song about a failed relationship, bolstered by Dan's vocals and some very strong electronic work. It's a rare Tear Jerker you can dance to. The stripped version is even more sad.
  • "Flaws" is a catchy Break-Up Song with a very agressive chorus and excellent percussion.
  • "Joy" has an amazing gospel choir.
  • "Doom Days" takes a while to build up, but when it does...wow.
  • "4 am" is the gentlest song from Doom Days. You could fall asleep to it. The saxophone is great, too.
  • "Million Pieces" makes excellent use of Lyrical Dissonance, a cheery song about political problems. The pounding percussion and Dan's crooning vocals will give you chills. To top it all off, it's by far the most catchy song from Doom Days.
