  • When Kunrad forces you to place your hand into the mouth of the cogitator so he can unlock the Warrant chamber. The computer recognizes you as the heir... and detects "caustic humors" (fear hormones) in the blood sample and asks if you need assistance. Upon getting the order, it activates numerous sentry guns and flamethrowers, annihilating Kunrad's men and forcing him to flee.
  • The final boss of Act 1 is a full blown Chaos Marine. Even the lowliest Chaos Marines are capable of reducing non-Astartes to bloody smears in seconds, and yet you, a simple human Rogue Trader and your equally human crew, manage to defeat him. Once the dust settles, many of your party members are in utter shock and disbelief that they not only survived an encounter with one of the Ruinous Powers' champions, but were actually able to kill him.
  • On Footfall, you'll meet an angry mob harassing some refugees, accusing them of being heretics while Heironymus tries to run them off. When intervening, the instigator demands to know who you are. Like in many cases, you can respond in gloriously hammy fashion. This diffuses the mob immediately.
Rogue Trader: What is going on here?
Instigator: And who are you supposed to be?
Rogue Trader: I am the judge of the worthless and the executioner of cowardice. Which one of you void rats just dared to address me without the proper respect?
  • While in Commorragh, you occasionally encounter a Solitaire who gives you cryptic advice in rhyme, with you having to piece together what they actually mean to escapeā€¦ unless you are an Iconoclast, which lets you immediately intuit precisely what is being conveyed and sum it up in more clear language. Even the Solitaire is momentarily surprised by that one the first time it happens.
    Nocturne of Oblivion: "Brava.''
