Honestly speaking, the fact that Uncle survived 17 years in a fantasy world where people were constantly hunting him, along with the typical dangers of dragons and orcs and suchlike, is an awesome feat in itself. It took a toll on his sanity, but on the whole he’s kept enough sanity to be able to move around in Japan and associate with people.
Uncle destroys a dragon about to kill Elf-san in one hit. The dragon had been heavily damaged in a fight with the Elf and he was only delivering the final blow, but he jumped in to save her without a second thought.
Alicia and her party prove their worth as a hero by defending an inn from invading giant monsters. Alicia especially uses magic to counter the monsters, and then gets a power-up that enables her to brawl with them.
The anime's finale fight with the dragon has Uncle and his friends team up to take down the fearsome monster in a spectacular battle.
Elf's fight with Uncle in blaze dragon form is called out as impressive (or at least closer to what they expect of a fantasy battle) by Takafumi and Fujimiya, mostly because the previous battles they've seen involving him were over so quickly.
Uncle's first fight with Mabel in the room with Ricardo Markfield is deliberately supposed to be awesome, but this gets lampshaded by the two being revealed as sitting on the sidelines and cheering on their battling illusions. Goes even further when they are distracted by their conversation and the large audience figures it out because the illusions are now Off-Model and repeating moves, which helps provoke the two into having a second (real) battle that starts off even more flashy.
