  • In chapter 3 after one of her antics ticks off Zane Violet doesn't just shrug off his Death Glare but mouths off to him for good measure. Zane actually breaks out laughing at her antics.
• Summer Love, Summer Fears
  • Chapter 15 has Annie managing to win a duel against Zane and in only a few moves. There was a lot of luck involved as she managed to get a winning card early on but she also showed some strategy by identifying that ending things quickly was the best way to counter Zane's usual tactics.
