- After Dragon is fully inducted onto the police force, he is introduced to his new colleagues including a bigoted officer named Howard Niseman. Howard tries to reinforce his position as the alpha male of the precinct but Dragon was having no of it and thus he crushes Niseman's nuts and gives him a speech on how his intolerance is making cops look bad and that they should do everything to ease tensions between humans and freaks.
Savage Dragon: I hate tough guys. You think that "might makes right". That wearing a badge automatically makes all of your actions correct, you're wrong. Things like the Rodney King beating and your little episode are turning people against the police. Your prejudice and intolerance is hurting all of us. We're losing the public's trust. Stereotypes are where you find them. Because of men like you, Cops are being stereotyped as the Bad Guys. As unreasonable, irrational, narrow-minded bigots. We need to break down the racial barriers, end racism through education and reaffirm what we're here for - to serve and protect the people you're alienating. This isn't about getting to beat up innocent citizens because you don't like the way they look. We're supposed to be the good guys. Start acting like it.
- A particularly popular moment comes from a crossover with Spawn. God and Satan are battling it out, with God finally turning the tide, leading to this. "Don't fuck with God!"
- Issue 156. A fight between Emperor Krull and Darkworld Dragon that lasts the entire issue. Literally, Larsen made a point to make sure that the fight was happening on every damn page. Many buildings are demolished.
- The Dragon War and Emperor Dragon storylines were rather intense, having Dragon killed and revived as Emperor Kurr, who proceeded to curbstomp three quarters of the cast and even slaughter the entire population of Earth. A 'clone' of Dragon manages to finally finish him and manages to convince Darklord to give him a chance to save the world. Move back to a few issues ago when Kurr is giving his Puny Earthlings speech, which is quickly interrupted by Dragon who just blows his head off. Problem solved!
