Nonetheless he stands up to Voltan to protect already grievously wounded Bane from being finished off, and later makes one of the few selfless wishes to the Morrigu - admitting that while peace of mind would be pleasant, he'd rather Bane survived his wounds. As a result both things come to pass - Bane recovers and Oranus gets the peace he wanted for so long. Doubles as a Heartwarming Moment.
