• Episode 20: Even though it doesn't last long, Ash actually listens to Misty when she explains to him that Pikachu isn't worth having around and tries to let the psychotic Pokémon go with his fellow Pikachu.
  Ash: Pikowoo, the time has come. We're leaving and you'll stay here. I thought you were my friend when you were really my not-friend.
  Pikachu: Whoever said I was your friend? That's on you, buddy.
  Ash: Well that's fine, "buddy", because I'm not your "bud" or your "dy"! I will never be your "dy"! The "dy" is leaving now!
• Epsiode 22: Misty getting back at Brock for calling her "Crazy Misty" by calling him "Lazy Brock" and getting Ash in on it.
• Minisode 25.5: After several episodes of being denied the opportunity to catch a Pokémon, Misty convinces both Brock and Ash to let her have Togepi.
