• Marcus protecting Jerome during the SFPD's attack on the Elephant Walk bar in the Castro.
• In the finale, Lucy tells Hawk that she is leaving him. She is not at all angry or bitter, but she clearly realizes that she deserves more happiness than Hawk can offer her. This moment is oddly heartwarming in addition to being awesome.
• In the finale, Dave Holm, a homophobic acquaintance of Hawk's, refuses to shake hands with Tim at a gala, presumably because Tim has visible KS lesions on his face and hands. After Tim walks away, Hawk shakes hands with Dave. Then, holding Dave's hand in a death grip, Hawk tells him that Tim just got out of the hospital and "I was there with him the whole time. I climbed into his bed and held him."
• Tim, Marcus, Frankie, and Jerome participating in a direct action to protest the lack of funding for AIDS research and care for AIDS patients at one of Governor George Deukmejian's campaign events.
