TEG Chapter 17: The Admirable Family Values of Prayer Warriors

Written By: Thomas
POV: Percy
Deaths: Zeus(1) Poseidon(1)

Sorry for the lack of updates; I've been preoccupied with a few other things.

BIC reiterates that the story is for Christians, not "stannic scum," but also indicates that his brother Noah seems to have turned on him and is asking him to stop writing the story, and threatens to disown Noah. He declares that everyone is either us with him or against him, and the latter group will burn in hell.

Percy delivers a speech, which is exceptionally poorly proofread even by the standards of this fic, in which he tells his followers to show no mercy to their enemies, who will deceive them to murder them, and spread false theories like Evolution. He also blames Eve for the original sin, when Adam is at least partly responsible.

Percy's army agrees to kill all their enemies, and goes into Zeus' temple. They find a man raping a girl, and stone the man to death. They then cite one of the most despised parts of the Bible, that indicates that rape victims must be executed if they don't cry out loudly enough, but fortunately, they heard the girl's screams.

Percy confronts Zeus, declaring that he's not his father; God is (once again, Poseidon is his canonical father), before stabbing him in the heart and killing him.

Incidentally, Project After had an awesome "The Reason You Suck" Speech from Zeus to Percy, calling him out on murdering his friends and unwittingly furthering Luke's plans. You can read it here.

Percy drags Zeus' body out and puts it on display to prove that he's not a god, immediately causing his followers to convert. He kills Poseidon and his followers in the space of a single sentence, before turning Zeus' temple into a church and burning down Poseidon's temple.

Incidentally, if you substitute "Zeus" and "Poseidon", the entire fic would have run just as well, which shows how little effort is put into characterization

Next Installment: Luke raids the temples of Mars and Ares, actually encountering some resistance this time.
