Episode 8: The Curse
"The curse of The One... It was strong enough to absorb all of Lord Babylon's Mana energy... What a terrifying power; those cursed by it have but 3 days to live."
Zetta is now freaking out, thinking that he inadvertently murdered The One. Seedle "applauds" him for doing so, but Alex doesn't believe that was The One. Pram disagrees, as there would be no other reason for the corn to exist here, much like Trenia. Babylon is fully convinced, Salome is worried, Micky is unimpressed (but not enough to make a "corny" joke), and the corn is Not Quite Dead. Dryzen tries to get Micky to put him out of his misery...but the corn man "curses" Zetta with his dying breath. Drake, ever the opportunist, attempts to "creatively interpret" the corn's words, faux-Space British accent and all. It's not...very convincing. Whatever the case, Zetta is slated to die within the next three days. Pram berates Drake for being a dick, and Drake threatens him by saying he'll only get The One to remove the curse if he relinquishes Drake's old netherworld to him. Salome laughs at Drake, saying she has no reason to fear death, for she would give up her own life to save Zetta. He says that he's not worried about the curse, since Babylon managed to survive it. Seedle can't believe that Zetta would be willing to survive without his Mana energy, much like a certain someone... *coughSalomecough*
With Drake supposedly out of the picture, Zetta decides to take his long-standing rivalry onto Alexander's home turf!
