* ButterFace: For some this is the main problem with Bri's and Rain's design choice for Alice's suppose romantic love interest Reginald, in fact this is even pointed out in the story about Reginald not looking like a typical Disney princes by the Princesses. The design is intended to look like the Disney Parks character actor (or which the idea came from) which has also the same reaction from people in that some find it near the uncanny valley or just find the nose to be just plain ugly.

* FamilyUnfriendlyAesop: Stalking a woman and violently threatening her other suitors is alright and perfectly legal as long as she eventually comes around.

* SeinfeldIsUnfunny: At the time the fic came out Alice's romantic interest Reginald was seen has being unique and original with him not looking handsome as the average Disney Prince/Hero, which the comic itself even devotes a TakeThat panel at the other Disney's Princesse's romantic leads. These days however it doesn't stand out as much thanks to recent Disney Romantic leads and heroes having more average "goofy" designs such as Ralph from ''Wreck-It-Ralph'' and Kristoff from ''Frozen'', making newer younger readers wonder why Reginald's appearance is such a big deal.

* DeaderThanDisco: The story and the Alice/Reginald ship was immensely popular on sites like Devianart and tumblr. It soon became Fanon for some Disney fans to see Mad Hatter Reginald as Alice's Official love interest despite being a CrackPairing and taking some liberties with the actual canon characters. These days you'll hardly find it mentioned by Disney fans. What happened? While it could be said that the fandom lost interest, several things in the fanfic itself could be pointed out as showing it's limited lifespan. For starters there was the sudden AdaptationalAttractiveness of the Mad Hatter himself which was jarring for a fic setting itself to be a unofficial sequel to the movie. His ManChild behavior and SpoiledBrat tendencies didn't exactly help him endear him to fans nor did it won him over fans who were already displease with him as a romantic interest for Alice, who saw him as a PsychopathicManchild who's antic were suppose to be whimsical. Then there's the debut of the [[Film/AliceInWonderland2010 live action movie]], while it help build an audience for the story in the months before the release the movie was in itself a different interpretation of the Hatter and Alice relationship. Whether this help fans grow or not is up for debate. However, the sequel certainly didn't help matters as the story, Alice putting time and space in danger because the Hatter just happen to be unhappy, was seen by many as an adaptation of a fanfic one that certainly wouldn't be out of place for this comic. Lastly, the arrival of new animated films and the immense popularity of [[Disney/{{Frozen}} Frozen]] and it's crossover ships has dominated the Disney fandom. For any more signs that Alice/Reginald are indeed dead by internet standards, the main tumblr page for the comic itself has a last entry celebrating the new year ... 2016 http://manatea05.tumblr.com/image/136361022100 . It might had become the first popular internet ship to become this trope.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: We are suppose to want to root for Reginald in trying to win over Alice but his ManChild behavior and SpoiledBrat personality can be too annoying for some readers who will probably indentify with Alice despite the story showing her in the wrong.

* TheScrappy: Outside of the comic some hardcore Disney Alice fans and shippers see Reginald as this thanks to some of his traits as pointed in this page. The most infamous scene being the panel where Reggie singlehandedly cold stares and ''scares'' every male at the dance to leave Alice free all for himself (who he has relentless stalked and annoyed). Several of the males scared off include Jim Hawkins (Treasure Planet) and Ron Stoppable (Kim Possible) both who have massive fanbases. Ron known for being a badass fighter thanks to mystical monkey powers and Jim Hawkins facing off against terrifying alien pirates. The very thought of both of them getting scared off by Reginald, who's often shown to be a harmless goofball, is ridiculous and insulting to their fans.
