In addition, several people view him drinking his paints as a form of medication. Jakei has gone on record saying that she did ''not'' write the character with such intentions and that it's pointless to assign such issues to somebody who is TheSoulless.

** Was [=X-Event!Chara's=] desire to seek revenge by rebuilding their world justified? Why is creating one world with the best of the others suitable to strike revenge at [=XGaster=]'s mistreatment of him during the events of X-Tale? Was it because they were forced to be stuffed under Cross and followed his idea of rebuilding their world, or was it due to sheer manipulation on [=XGaster's=] behalf that he would so kindly want to rebuild his own AU only for [[HijackedByGanon his idea to be taken over by [=XGaster=]]]?

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Plenty of [[https://soundcloud.com/user-201260111-141391955 Stereohead Studios]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/user/felipe95951 NyxTheShield]] tracks for Underverse are awesome, especially [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IipxjYZo3fY this theme for X-Event!Chara]]. It should be noted that Nyx also makes tracks for ''{{WebAnimation/Glitchtale}}''.
* DesignatedEvil: X-Event!Chara is made to be one, with the extent of his damage being seen in Underverse 0.3 Part 2.

** With another ''Undertale'' AU known as ''Webcomic/{{Epictale}}''; Cross and Epic!Sans are portrayed as best friends in fanfiction and fanart, and there are several crossovers (usually comics) the two [=AUs=], especially by their creators.

* JerkassWoobie: X-Event!Chara is introduced as a sociopath who carries no qualms about hurting and manipulating others, especially in 0.3. [[spoiler:Then his backstory is revealed, showing that he UsedToBeASweetKid before [=XGaster=] gradually drove him and his brother Frisk into insanity and forcibly made him a part of the X-Event. It is also implied by his speech to Underswap Sans in 0.3 Part 2 and Nightmare's speech to him in 0.4 that for all the bad things he does, the good in him never truly went away and he is still holding back.]] While it doesn't completely excuse his horrible actions, it can make one feel bad for him, especially when [[spoiler:he temporarily dies at the end of 0.4.]]

** [=XGaster=] [[spoiler:killing [=XTale=]!Asgore and [=XTale=]!Sans in the second timeline, the respective favorites of X-Event!Chara and X-Event!Frisk, because there was, in his own words, "too much happiness". This is arguably the first truly evil act he commits and shows his growing LackOfEmpathy. He briefly, keyword ''briefly'', considers that he may have gone too far, but ultimately decides that he was justified and that evolution requires sacrifice.]]

* ShockingMoments: The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPAPmzV_qAE Season 2 Opening]] provides a few huge moments such as [=XGaster=] riding X-Tale's version of Omega Flowey, the confirmed appearances of Geno, Fatal Error and [=Fresh!Ink=], and the heavy implication that Frisk and [[spoiler:[=XTale!Chara=]]] are to be the protagonists of the season.

** X-Event!Chara, for the majority of season 1. While what he and his brother went through under [=XGaster=] [[FreudianExcuse is undeniably traumatic and horrible]], [[FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse it still makes no excuse for a lot of X-Event!Chara's actions]], like torturing innocent people and destroying worlds purely ForTheEvulz. In fact, one could say that this makes him out to be a huge {{Hypocrite}}, as the atrocities he's committing are the very actions he originally despised and wanted to punish [=XGaster=] for.

* ViewerGenderConfusion: For the longest time, many were unsure of X-Event!Chara and X-Event!Frisk's real genders. Jakei has since confirmed that the two siblings are both boys.

** [[spoiler:Outertale!Sans would've been a nice character to join the main cast, but he is seemingly killed by Killer before he even gets to meet Underswap!Sans and Underfell!Sans.]]
** [[spoiler:Underswap!Sans and Underfell!Sans are killed by [=XGaster=], also wasting two more lovable and well-known characters. Time will tell if their deaths are permanent or if they will somehow be brought back]].

'''Instead''': Sans ''turns his back on his kidnapper'' and tries to walk away, even deactivating his Gaster Blaster while doing so.\\
'''As A Result''': Cross and X-Event!Chara manage to jump him and steal half of his soul, kickstarting every other event in the series.
** When Error finds out that Ink has been secretly trying to cultivate a new AU in violation of the truce, he goes out of the way to place all the [=AUs=] under his strings.\\
'''You'd Expect''': Since Ink's broken the truce, Error would also go ahead and destroy the X-Event soul.\\
'''Instead''': Error doesn't destroy it and uses it to mock X-Event!Chara when he's in desperate need for a human soul.\\
'''As A Result''': [=XGaster=] steals the X-Event soul from Error and is able to reunify his perseverance soul once more, leaving him with full control over the overwrite button and allowing him to fulfill his dream of making a universe with the best of others.

** Main timeline-Sans. He has his soul stolen, is dragged all across the multiverse to get it back, has to watch all of his new friends die, the person he put his reluctant trust in betrays him and in the end he becomes a battered ShellShockedVeteran who just wants it all to end already.

** The fight scenes of 0.6 in particular deserve mention. They are fluid, dynamic, and slick as hell, rivaling (and in some cases surpassing) a lot of professional animation. [[UptoEleven And it was all done by ONE PERSON!]] Jakei has really come far since she started the series.

* DracoInLeatherPants:
** X-Event!Chara, due to his tragic backstory and FreudianExcuse. Many fans are willing to gloss over his crimes, like brainwashing and attempted murder, in order to portray him as simply a poor, misunderstood guy who just needs someone to show him a better way. Nevermind that multiple people in the series have ''tried'' to do so and he ''always'' threw it back into their faces.
** Believe it or not ''[=XGaster=]'' of all people gets his fair share of apologists and defenders as well. Said defenders often portray him as at heart a good father who merely lost himself trying to do a good thing for his sons. Those people tend to overlook that he canonically expressed nothing but hatred for his children post XTALE IV and has ''no regrets'' for his severe abuse of the Overwrite-button.
