** On Plankton's end, it is lampshaded by Karen that the heroes would eventually find Plankton's DNA on the crown via his tiny, stubby fingerprints; he could've considered to actually wear gloves so no one would be able to take any.

** King Neptune [[TooDumbToLive is even worse at this]], considering that Plankton was able to take over Bikini Bottom all because Neptune was too busy worrying about his bald spot. One would think he'd be a little suspicious about all the statues dedicated to Plankton or townsfolk being enslaved by him on his way to [[spoiler:execute Mr. Krabs]].
