* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: It's quite satisfying to see Danny take down Jesse and force him to confess to being Carrie's murderer, considering the latter spent most of the movie being seen as an innocent weirdo by the townsfolk despite Carrie's fears.

* TheWoobie: Poor Carrie. She's a soft-spoken small town girl who gets constantly harassed by a man she's terrified of, and nobody except Bix and Danny take her concerns seriously. And speaking of Bix; she falls in love with him, but he ends up getting the itch to run away despite their good relationship because of his emotional baggage.

* HarsherInHindsight: Jesse is dismissed as harmless by most of the town, even though he's been stalking Carrie and she's terrified to be in a ''crowded diner'' with him. Unfortunately this is ''not'' ValuesDissonance, as even today stalking is often not taken seriously, leading to the rape or death (or both) of many women because the authorities failed to take action. It makes Carrie's death even more tragic since what happened to her is a danger that many women even ''today'' still face.

* DesignatedHero: Bix was getting dangerously close to this regarding Carrie as her murder at the hands of Jesse probably could've been easily prevented. Later on in the film Bix got so fixated on trying to make sure he & Danny leave town he does little to go after Jesse and keeps leaving Carrie alone in the woods at night and it happened even after Bix fought off Jesse while he was trying to sexually assault Carrie just recently beforehand.

* HoYay: Between Danny and Bix. Bix is vehemently opposed to the kid's attempt to get laid in the whorehouse, has an inability to commit to the waitress, not even getting as far as first base, and has dozens of meaningful glances between him and the kid, as well as a hand on shoulder. They have intimate sleeping arrangements, and even ''blow off dates with girls so he and the kid can shave each other''. At the end, Danny takes Bix home ''to meet his Dad''. FreudWasRight.
