* BestLevelEver: Thunder Creek. Every part of it is designed to make you feel like a champion - the gimmick (hit cymbals to avoid lightning) is fair yet really cool to pull off, and the [[AwesomeMusic song]] is all about how dangerous the level is and by extension how much of a badass you are for making it through.

No longer to be used as a trope.

** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALb0T66tiC0 Thunder Creek]], a bombastic Western theme. Starts off warning Baton to turn back and not brave the dangers of the eponymous Thunder Creek, by the end it's cheering her (and the player) on and making them feel like they can accomplish anything.

* ThatOneLevel: Piranha Jungle is full of tough obstacles - from bugs with a surprisingly long reach, to the Staccato forming a gun that tracks your movement and jumping out of the water and into your path, while flytraps snap at you. Even if you make it through all that without losing your life bar, there's a part at the very end where you have to hit cymbals to knock fruit from trees - if you miss more than one, [[KaizoTrap the Staccato will eat you just as you're crossing the finish line]], and it's back to the beginning. And if you think that's bad, see ThatOneSidequest below.

* OneSceneWonder: Sonata. Shows up in a single level where he falls for Baton and proceeds to serenade for her for the rest of the level in hope of wooing her. Despite this (or perhaps because of it), he has quite the sizeable amount of fans from those who played the game.

* HilariousInHindsight: Nearly everyone knows that Matthew Taranto is a huge ''Franchise/{{Kirby}}'' fan. With that in mind, it's a rather funny coincidence that ''VideoGame/KirbyPlanetRobobot'' and ''Tadpole Treble'', both released in 2016, feature [[spoiler:rogue [=AIs=] as final bosses]].

* ThatOneSidequest: Getting the Glass Fly requires you to clear Piranha Jungle [[NoDamageRun without taking any damage]]. Since you're pursued by the Staccato the entire time, it's easier said than done. The sections with the "piranha gun" (one of the few obstacles in the game that's based on Baton's position, meaning there's no definite safe spot) and the Staccato leaping out of the water (it's difficult to see their landing positions, and the last one tries to fake you out) are especially tricky. Good usage of the Treble Mode helps, but only so much, and it's easily the hardest Challenge Fly barring the Maestro Fly.
