Wil stopped muttering to himself long enough to assure his son that he would never be a dissapointment to him. [[HypocriticalHumor Unless Ryan beat him on the show.]]

** ''Mice and Mystics'' has Wil playing with the rest of his family. The Wheatons proceed to make adorably corny puns throughout and make a few friendly jabs at the infamous dice curse.

* HypeBacklash: Only the first two episodes of Season 4 were freely available on YouTube before January 30, 2016. The rest of them were released ''bi-weekly'' on Alpha, a subscription platform with a ''monthly'' fee (and one that you're not even guaranteed to be able to subscribe to). Suffice to say that fans and even ''Wil'' were ''not'' happy.

Propose candidates for Magnificent Bastard on this thread

* MagnificentBastard:
** Wil in the last game of ''Coup''. He admits that being so smug about being in the other players' heads is quite jerkass, but the thing is: he sees through ''every move they make'', while leaving them completely in the dark about his strategy. With a bit of luck on his side, his victory is nothing less than a CurbStompBattle.
** Bonnie Burton's character Lily in ''Fiasco'', with all three other players repeatedly marveling at how she's gradually revealed to be "the black widow at the center of this web." The funny thing is, she didn't intend this at all and by her own admission was very intimidated by the other players, until she started giving her character one crazy plot twist after another trying to keep up with them.

Opinions of her are not relevant to how the character in the game she played fits the trope.

*** Bonnie also received a lot of backlash as she admitted to "playing to win", while the other players were focused on the story, and was accused by a lot of fans of making her character a MarySue.

** Alison Haislip went for this trope hard in the ''TabletopGame/{{Fiasco}}'' episode as frequently commented by the other players. She played a hard luck stripper getting her shot at dancing in a high class club ''and'' possibly reuniting with her ex-husband -- whom she is still in love with -- in a situation that is deliberately set up to go horribly wrong.

* BrokenBase: Who's in the wrong over the Season 3 debacle over the rules? The producer Wil hired for not doing their job, or Wil himself for not checking the rules himself/hiring the producer in the first place to do a job that should have been easy enough/throwing said producer under the bus? Still others say they don't even see it as a problem, as the altered rules were still applied equally to everyone, meaning they were all still fair games in their own right.
