* VindicatedByHistory: When the show was airing on CN, many fans dismissed it as a less interesting, economy cast take on ''WesternAnimation/TotalDrama'', another Teletoon original which was one of the channel's flagship franchises, despite the fact that this show was made first. Long after the series finale was aired, it has seen renewed interest for having much the same humor and teenage melodrama, but drastically decreased to fit a smaller cast prone to SliceOfLife misadventures. The more grounded tone and cast allowed for consistent characterization, as apposed to ''Total Drama'' which tended to stretch the focus thin to try and have time for everyone. In short, the reasons for its initial dismissal were the same that earned it a solid fanbase and a better lasting reputation.

Fixing paragraphs and a couple of typos. Trimming the example and fixing some inaccuracies: Kristen is the only clone that appears in this scene. It's impossible to say that "plenty of time is lost" when the entire scene goes on for about a single minute.

* WhatAnIdiot: In the episode "Smarten Up", a woman gets stuck in the change room having a baby. The clones panic.
'''You'd Expect''': That the Clones would immediately call 911, as this is a life threatening emergency, and a change room is an incredibly unsafe place for a woman to give birth, not to mention the endless amounts of bad publicity. They would also leave one of their own in the change room to keep an eye on the woman's condition.
'''Instead''': Kristen panics and runs around screaming begging for help. Plenty of time is lost before she comes across the gang, during which the woman and her unborn child could have died.
** The gang just called the paramedics when George Bickerson (though at this point, still unnamed), has a heart attack from over exertion due to drinking coffee. Kristen comes running due to the woman giving birth.
''' You'd Expect''': Since the paramedics just went off screen and are presumably still in sight of the gang, either they or Kristen would run after them and tell them what is happening. They are trained medical professionals, and they could quickly the woman to an ambulance, or if it is too late and she has to give birth in the mall, move her to a cleaner environment where she could safely give birth.
''' Instead''': Nobody thinks to do this, and Jonesy winds up getting volunteered to deliver the baby.
** Caitlain has lied to a college guy by saying she and her friends are in college. Jonesy has to pretend he has a degree in gynecology, which deals with the female reproductive system. Naturally, the second Kristen comes screaming about the woman giving birth, Connor immediately volunteers Jonesy.
''' You'd Expect''': Caitlain would immediately admit she and her friends aren't in college. Jonesy is clearly completely unqualified for something this serious and it is not worth putting a woman's life in danger.
''' Even Better''': Kristen immediately speaks up and tries to tell Connor that Jonesy is not in college, before Caitlain cuts her off. Kristen should just resume making the revelation, as she knows all of the gang personally. Connor will likely dump Caitlain on the spot for her deception, but that is far better than forcing Jonesy to deliver a birth that Kristen knows he is completely unqualified to do.
''' Instead''': Kristen, in a panic, says that Jonesy will do and forces him to deliver the baby. Jonesy panics the entire way through and clearly has no idea what he is doing, in addition to being covered in germs that could put the mother and her infant at risk at dying.
''' The Result''': Nothing bad happens. The woman gives birth just fine, but it could easily have gone very differently if this wasn't a children's show.

Deleting general examples. While it is correct that the main characters are prone to causing chaos in the mall, Ron is not portrayed as a reasonable authority figure. Several episodes portray him as a massive Jerkass with an abnormal obsession with rules, to the point where he is willing to physically assault the elderly for commiting minor infractions such as littering. The bosses are not portrayed in a negative light either, as most of Jonesy's dismissals are meant to be seen as his karma catching up to him, and the Clones are pretty much ButtMonkeys who rarely (if ever) are given an antagonistic role.

* DesignatedVillain:
** Ron the Rent a Cop in spades throughout the show. While Tricia always does something villainous for her own amusement, Ron is just trying to do his job. Much of what the gang does, especially the male members, either do a lot of things that create a lot of trouble or are outright illegal, so he has every right to be so cautious and suspicious of them. But because of ProtagonistCenteredMorality, he gets portrayed as an [[PoliceAreUseless incompetent cop]] with a hefty dose of InspectorJavert thrown in.
** The bosses usually are this, especially Jonesy's various bosses. Usually whenever they criticize the protagonists, they usually have a valid reason to do so. Jonesy either abuses the customers or is incredibly lazy, Nikki is outright contemptuous of the clones, and Big Steve usually is correct about Caitlain's various antics. While there are some instances of the bosses clearly abusing their power, Coach Halder using Jen as target practice, and Wayne's abuse of Jude are standout examples, they often get portrayed as unreasonable or jerks.

** For instance, Canada legalized gay marriage in July of 2005, so "Role Reversal" (which aired in 2010) was justified there; the US didn't legalize gay marriage in all 50 states until just less than ''10 years later'', which was why the episode was banned from airing in the States.
** Anytime a person of either gender shows a clingy or obsessive behavior towards someone of the opposite gender would be very hard to get away with today given the awareness of sexual harassment.
