* TheyWastedAPerfectlyPlot: The twist that Rebecca was bullied into suicide, with the sheriff being the last of her tormentors, is a very interesting reveal, [[spoiler: but it's then undermined with the reveal that this story was a lie]].

* SpiritualAdaptation: Wanted a movie based off of the ''Literature/{{Goosebumps}}'' book ''Say Cheese and Die''? This is probably the closest thing you'll get. They even both have characters named Bird!
