** El Dagans. Fast, extremely aggressive, tankier than regular Dagans, and anything they do will chew through your health at an insane rate. They also tend to attack in groups of two or more, if one wasn't enough.
** Regular Dagans are also rather fearsome due to possessing a fast claw attack that has disproportionately high damage. On EX Quests, one quick swipe can deal over 1000 damage.
** El Ahdas are like El Dagans, but have even more health and more irritating and stronger attacks. Thankfully, unlike El Dagans, they also tend to attack one at a time, though they're usually accompanied by other mooks.

** Regular Dagans are also rather fearsome due to possessing a fast claw attack that has disproportionately high damage. On EX Quests, one quick swipe can deal over 1000 damage.
** El Ahdas are among the most notorious enemies in the game. In endgame content, they have way too much health, unpredictable movement patterns, and enough damage to OneHitKill. Content like El Dagans, but have even more health and more irritating and stronger attacks. Thankfully, unlike El Dagans, they Nightmare Tower also tend ensures that you will fight multiple El Ahdas simultaneously, a staggeringly tall order when the nature of the camera makes it easy for them to attack one at a time, though they're usually accompanied by other mooks.gang up on you and hit you from your blind spots.

Added DiffLines:

** Most Kuronian mooks have a variety of hard-hitting attacks with wide coverage and lingering hitboxes. Unlike El Ahdas, they aren't super difficult to kill, but if you make a mistake they will eat your HP like a fat kid in a candy store.

Added DiffLines:

* TierInducedScrappy:
** Weapons with bad [=PAs=], especially bad 3rd Gen [=PAs=]. The most infamous examples are Wired Lance and Bullet Bow; both Kaiser Rise and Million Storm have among the worst DPS and DPP in the game, and unlike niche [=PAs=] like Tears Grid possess little, if any utility whatsoever.
** Most Tech weapons are niche at best due to Techniques being left in the dust in favor of [=PAs=]. Long story short, game mechanics do not favor Techniques, as the elemental damage of the Technique takes priority over anything else. This makes specializing for certain endgame content difficult, and most Techniques do not have the DPS or DPP to keep pace with top tier [=PAs=] like Slash Rave.

Added DiffLines:

** As of the release of 3rd Generation [=PAs=], this effect has mostly evened out with a wider variety of top tier weapons. Gunslashes (ironically), Jet Boots, and Twin Daggers remain the most common weapons, but other contenders include Double Sabers, Assault Rifles, and Knuckles.

* GameBreaker:
** Spread Needle is basically a better Missouri with a chase bonus that boosts the effects of chase damage. Pair with one of the two Seraphy Illustration Chips for maximum damage shenanigans.
** Yamigarasu is a high damage status damage booster that is a combination of a better Saga (+180% damage vs. status afflicted enemies) and a status affliction Chip. She is the strongest Chip in her category due to status damage Chips simply not being common.
** Elder Rebellion has a massively broken power-to-cost ratio, practically infinite range, and is the only attack that can be cancelled mid-animation via swiping, which performs Stylish Roll, a slow-motion dodge that has a ton of invincibility and performs a normal attack that restores your PP in the process. Twin Machineguns by extension are also this due to having the fastest rate of attack in the game, allowing them to easily proc Passives with Low activation rates.
** [[Anime/PhantasyStarOnline2TheAnimation Rina [Premium]/SORO [S Premium[=]=]]] grants a 60-second duration during which you gain a gradually-increasing damage buff that caps out at +180% after 18 seconds. While not game-breaking on her own, she possesses a damage type that no other Chip has, allowing her to stack with other Game Breakers multiplicatively.
** Diffuse Shell can hit insanely hard by normal standards. It's possible to hit 999,999 for two hits in a row in one cast.
** Elder Rebellion has since been power creeped by Facet Folia. Close ranged, but hits a ridiculous number of times while having invulnerability throughout the animation, making it both extremely safe to spam and insanely powerful. Higher-end builds commonly see six digit hits with this Art, and if you have a really good build with Nesis Arion, you can hit the damage cap on most of the hits!
** Darker Busters [Anniversary] was actually bad enough that even the Japanese playerbase complained about SEGA cashgrabbing on 48 Hour Limited Scratches. It's a D-Frame/Chase chip that gives a whopping 130%/135% D-Frame to all elements and 70% Chase, which stacks up to 3.9x/3.995x innate, making it one of the single strongest solo Chips in the game. This doesn't even account for the fact that since D Frame is relatively rare, you can sub in Darker Busters [Anniversary] into nearly any deck. Darker Busters is so overpowered, in fact, that even in the era of 13★ Chips, it remains practically the best 12★ in the game, and when teamed up with a 13★ Chip utterly destroys Extra Hard difficulty bosses.
** 13★ Chips in general, which are designed to be PurposefullyOverpowered. 13★ Chips possess obscenely high multipliers that are far and beyond higher than anything else in the game, can be double Released and soar to a maximum Level cap of 90, which makes them incredibly potent on the raw stats side, and possess a tier-standard effect that halves the Cost of Photon Arts and Techniques equipped in the same Deck as it as a way to offset their egregiously high Cost.

GameBreaker: Out of all the effects Chips in the game, none are more extreme than the humble yet insanely powerful Solid Straight. What appears to be your average freebie 11★ Chip turns into a terrifying monster of chase damage. Pair with a Chip when fully powered, starting from a mediocre 19 Cost 110%/120% U Frame to an almighty 13 Cost 210%/220% U Frame after Plugs 1 and 3 are maxed out. His low cost and exceedingly high multiplier make him one of the two Seraphy Illustration Chips for maximum damage shenanigans.

Added DiffLines:

* Narm: This is the game that coined the plot point of "skin exposure = better Photon absorption". Many players have called the writers out on this as an exceedingly stupid HandWave that is used exactly once to explain Gene's costume change into Stripperific garb in Season 1.

Added DiffLines:

** March 2019 Eternal Tower introduced possibly one of the toughest [=100F=] rooms in the game. It is a Guar Zigmorde accompanied by two Itagi-Zakri, the first ever FinalBoss battle in Tower to have mooks. Not only is Zigmorde abnormally tanky for a 100F boss, but the adds are required to clear the room, and all three enemies deal excessive amounts of damage, likely a OneHitKill if you don't have a damage reduction effect active.

** Late September Eternal Tower had 97F~99F, which is notorious for being a massive BeefGate due to the return of Dirandals and Sol Dirandals, who are somehow tougher than bosses encountered earlier in the Tower and will obliterate you in seconds if you don't take the time to evade or keep them stunlocked.

** February 2019 Eternal Tower had a very specific room in Floor 85 that consists of three El Ahda. El Ahda are notorious DemonicSpiders and three of them grouped together in the same room with massive HP pools and stats spells trouble for anyone who doesn't get out of the way or burst straight through them quickly enough.

Added DiffLines:

** Any variant of Leopard Vlozzo from Type C upwards has the ability to spawn orbs at your position that cast Razonde made of dark lightning. The attack is prefaced by a pounce with very quick execution and no forewarning, and the Razonde deals heavy damage for each second you stand under it, potentially shredding your HP in seconds if you don't retreat quickly.

* ThatOneLevel: Eternal Tower 5 (April/May 2018) had Block 97F-99F, which is near-universally considered the worst Block in the entire Tower. The Block is largely proliferated with Sanctum Dragonkin, which include Sadinians and Dirandals, both of which are seen as DemonicSpiders due to their overinflated HP and tendency to kill you extremely fast if you make a mistake. The former are also very annoying to kill due to their shields blocking a majority of your hits, while the latter abuse a ram attack that gives them super armor and usually kills in one or two hits.

* GoodBadBugs: The mid-March 2017 story update accidentally gave Ragne Units a chance to drop with Gift Receptor during the Dark Agrani EQ. While this doesn't do anything on its own, the Units can be sent to VideoGame/PhantasyStarOnline2 and used in Affixing to transfer Lucky Rise I from the Units found in the Excube Shop to other Units. SEGA implemented a hotfix to eliminate the bugged Units.

** The Weaponoid Nemesis Shoes was bugged on release to give the effect of her secondary bonus (add more A Frame bonus when you hit a Darker) repeatedly every time you connect with a PA hit on a Darker, causing her multiplier to inflate without limit. This turned her into an anti-Darker GameBreaker, since you could easily start seeing 999999+ even with bad deck setups.

All of its attacks except its tail swipe have hitboxes with long duration and inflict knockback on hit, which make them difficult to i-frame through with Facet Folia. It also has a tendency to jump straight across the map and render whatever close-ranged PA you were using wasted due to not landing all the hits.
