* HarsherInHindsight: Many point out how the fact a crazed woman with superpowers is made as a comedy would be seen as a horror movie if it were a guy. Film/{{Brightburn}} proved how true it would be.

If Jenny is portrayed as the film's antagonist, she can't be a Designated Hero. Also, claiming that Matt is "selfish and lacking in empathy" for breaking up with a person who's clearly shown to be violent and abusive is highly questionable, as is the implication that he's in the wrong for dumping her just because she's physically attractive.

* DesignatedHero: It can be hard to root for the protagonists of this movie.
** Matt is both selfish and lacking in empathy for how the stress of her job has made G-Girl the neurotic mess she is.
** G-girl using her powers to get back at Matt in turn makes her come off as a controlling and abusive stalker.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: This is due to the fact Matt breaks G-Girl's heart and doesn't show much concern about the fact depowering her will probably result in many innocent people being killed. His lack of concern about her and treating their relationship as ItsAllAboutMe also hurts any chance of us taking his complaints seriously. There is also the fact he casually dumps ''Creator/UmaThurman as Supergirl'' so many audience members were confused, even if she is a neurotic mess.

"See this other trope" is not an example.

* DracoInLeatherPants: See DesignatedHero above and UnintentionallyUnsympathetic below.

* DracoInLeatherPants: See DesignatedHero above Despite Jenny / G-Girl being presented as the clear antagonist of the film, many viewers have argued that her behavior was justified by Matt's lack of sympathy for the stress she has to deal with as G-Girl and UnintentionallyUnsympathetic below.that the fact that she saves countless people (and [[ScrewTheRulesImBeautiful the fact that she's gorgeous]]) means her actions should be excused.

Foe Yay has been cut.

%%Possible misuse; couple in question becomes canon * FoeYay: G-Girl and her arch nemesis, Professor Bedlam. [[spoiler:They end up as a couple when Matt convinces Bedlam to confess that he's in love with G-Girl]]. Interesting, considering [[HoYay the aforementioned Superman-Lex Luthor parallel]]...

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Some viewers believe that the premise of a superhero revealing herself to be a awful human being and using her powers to abuse her boyfriend could have been much better as a horror movie instead of a dark comedy.

Apologies for the serial tweaking; didn't notice this one at first

* TooBleakStoppedCaring: Both leads are bad people as detailed below, so the audience can't really root for anyone. This is one of the biggest complaints of the film, as it makes it hard to get invested.
