Besides, isn’t the whole point of this page that Your Mileage May Vary? As in things that not everyone, including critics and certain audiences will agree? It just seems weird to eliminate something that some audience members agree with just because it was technically successful.

Re-did and added the deleted TBSC example, as I'm not sure a work simply being critically acclaimed and successful is grounds for exemption from TBSC. For example TBSC is listed for Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, which is critically acclaimed and outright has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and even during The Walking Dead's hay day, during the first batch of seasons that received almost universal acclaim (sans the farm arc) TBSC was still listed for it despite the praise it received.

* TooBleakStoppedCaring: The tone starts out dark and only gets bleaker as the movie goes on. Nearly everyone in this movie is horrible. Maggie's mother is an [[EntitledBastard Entitled]] LazyBum who refuses to show an ounce of gratitude when Maggie buys her a ''house.'' The rest of her family is just as bad and shows no sympathy to her [[spoiler:being a quadriplegic]]. The boxing gym is filled with Jerkasses who find amusement in beating up a ''mentally disabled kid''. Maggie's final opponent is a remorseless cheater who illegally punches Maggie after the round ends purely out of spite, [[spoiler:causing Maggie's paralysis (admittedly unintentionally). The paralysis itself is absolutely heartbreaking, with Maggie being unable to move anything below her neck, having to have a leg amputated due to bedsores, and kept under constant sedation after attempting suicide before [[MercyKill she is finally put out of her misery to ''end'' the film.]]]] It's no wonder Andrew Sarris of the ''New York Observer'' said that "...no movie in my memory has depressed me more than Million Dollar Baby."

If it was successful/well-received, TBSC does not apply as audiences did like it despite.
