* SoBadItsGood: The film is agreed upon to be worse than {{Film/Morbius}}, but most people agree that whereas that movie was simply just ''boring'' bad, ''Madame Web'' is on the other hand so utterly incompetent in just about every aspect that it makes the movie more enjoyable. The sheer amount of bonkers stuff already mentioned in the spoilers, plus the fact that the writers and producers clearly didn't care make for one very entertaining watch.

* AssPull: The extent of Cassie's powers after [[spoiler: she goes blind. Her going blind somehow just expands her clairvoyance to the point where she can use her powers to be annoying (like saying "bless you" before someone sneezes and predicting what food was bought for her). ** After reading her mother's research on the Spider Tribe, and seeing Ezekiel's wall crawling, Cassie attempts to see if she has any wall crawling powers as well. She places her hands on the wall, the music builds dramatically, she jumps... and promptly slides down the wall. She tells the nearby cat that they ''won't'' share what happened with anyone.
** When the subject of her mother comes up, Cassie says she died in childbirth. At Mary Parker's baby shower. While pointing to Mary's baby bump.
--->'''Cassie:''' [[VerbalBackspace Well it wasn't so bad.]] Well obviously it was ''bad''. She died. But I grew up totally healthy. Death in childbirth is very rare.
** When Cassie finally explains to the girls that she can see the future, there's a {{beat}} before Mattie throws a rock at her.
--->'''Cassie:''' What the hell?!\\
'''Mattie:''' She didn't see that coming.

* NightmareFuel: While this movie is LighterAndSofter to ''Film/{{Venom|2018}}'' or ''Film/{{Morbius|2022}}'', Cassie and Ezekiel's prophetic visions can be jarring to watch.
** When Cassie first discovers her powers, she finds herself swimming in an oceanic web, looking through various "webs" (timelines), hearing voices of people, and lastly, her hands are caked with blood before waking up from her near-death experience. Ben manages to get her back to the land of the living and tells her she was dead for over three minutes.
** The way Ezekiel kills the NSA agent tracking him is callous, showing him feigning interest in letting her live and slowly killing her with poison.
** Ezekiel in general is portrayed as some sort of SlasherMovie villain in several of his scenes, with Cassie's visions showing him murdering the three girls. Their escapes from him mark the movie's most tense moments.

* BileFascination: Very similar to the preceding movie of Film/SonysSpiderManUniverse, ''Film/Morbius2022'', this movie got a lot of attention right from when the first trailer dropped, even though it's gotten a terrible reception from critics and audiences alike, simply due to the curiosity of it being an increasingly desperate attempt by Sony to cobble together a cinematic universe about Franchise/SpiderMan without Spider-Man and seeing how badly they've dropped the ball (outside the ''Venom'' films, that is).

* SpecialEffectFailure: Many viewers have pointed out that Ezekiel's lines are overdubbed, [[HongKongDub but very poorly]], as the lines frequently don't sync up to his mouth movements and sometimes even continue when his mouth isn't moving at all. While this would be forgivable if the movie's dialogue was originally in another language, the movie was entirely English to begin with. This suggests the use of ADR (a common trait of films that have undergone heavy rewrites), but due to the lack of FilmingForEasyDub, it becomes very evident.
