The idea of relationships requiring actual work is something important to consider, except it's coming from a fictional game character that is fully scripted by the creator, including the whole AuthorTract, in a game that bares no real lasting consequences, which makes the whole thing look pretty ironic.

* BaseBreaker: [[spoiler:More than a few people are ''really'' unhappy you can't talk *Mute out of killing herself or revive her in her route. That, and the fact that Love put in a fake achievement lampshading her permanent death, which [[DudeNotFunny didn't sit well with them.]]. Thankfully averted in the Harem route, where *Hyun-ae can and will stop her, which is a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming on her part.]]

* CompleteMonster: [[spoiler: Councillor Ryu and Oh Eun-a succeed in gradually dismantling the modern state, erasing all records of prior society and replacing it with a totalitarian nightmare where women are reduced to child-rearing chattels. They also murder their political opponents and brainwash the mind-wiped *Mute into a supporter of their regime despite her previous opposition.]]

* ThatOneLevel: The cake sequence, unless you actually have the skills and items needed to cook, or you're willing to lie to *Hyun-ae, which will require you to wait out a significant chunk of time.

* ScrappyMechanic: The Cake scene on Day Three for *Hyun-ae. If you're not actually going and making a cake, you end up needing to sit around for about 3 minutes to "check" on whether or not you have what you need to make it, then another 5, minimum, to "make" the cake. You have to put up with that, or suddenly be a colossal {{Jerkass}} for no reason, before you can start the day.

* TearJerker: [[spoiler:The Death of Old *Mute log is her last-minute message to her future, amnesiac self...and Old *Mute, who up until then has been a harsh, snarky, and ruthless IronLady until then, is caught somewhere between being scared out of her mind and cursing her many failures as a security AI for not seeing Ryu's coup coming. It becomes even worse if said new version of *Mute is with you, where the log is what finally causes her to have the [[HeroicBSOD breakdown]] that's been building ever since you've started the game and she collapses into a pit of shame and self-loathing for her own failures. [[DrivenToSuicide One she doesn't crawl out of]].]]
