This is on a strictly need-to-know basis, so don't tell any one. Why no, no I ''haven't'' told anyone else. Leave a message? Sure! Here's the datachip with all the information, as well as the codes to decrypt it." The third book is a little frustrating about this.
** He also needed to stay at his desk to manage the upcoming operation, and so trusted the Lieutenant Governor to be his courier to the temporarily offplanet Governor instead of bringing another officer into the loop.

*CompleteMonster: [[BigBad Anu]], from ''Mutineers' Moon'', was once the Chief Engineer of the space station Dahak. He led a mutiny against the captain, and made sure the ensuing fight caused as much bloodshed as possible. Later trapped on Earth thanks to Dahak's automated defenses, Anu put thousands of his army into stasis, then used their bodies as vessels for him and his most loyal followers when their bodies wore out. Anu then began [[HistoricalRapSheet instigating many of history's biggest wars and atrocities]], with people like UsefulNotes/AdolfHitler himself having acted on Anu's orders. After [[TheHero Colin]] and an army of rebels start thwarting Anu's plans, Anu begins ordering the destruction of random cities on the off chance any rebel bases are located in them. When the rebels lead an assault on Anu's HQ, Anu activates automated weaponry, targeting friend and foe alike, and, when beaten, tries to detonate all of his bases' reactors around the globe, which would result in countless amounts of death and destruction across the world. Psychopathic, narcissistic, and bloodthirsty, Anu stood out as the most wicked villain in the series.

* CompleteMonster
** Anu is one of the most evil men to ever live. How evil? ''UsefulNotes/AdolfHitler'' was one one of his ''flunkies!''
** Mr. X from the 3rd book is, if anything, even worse than Anu. Anu at least might have had the excuse of being an insane megalomaniac. Mr. X is cold, calculating and has not the slightest regards for the lives of ''anyone'' except himself, willing to sacrifice ''an entire planet'' of people as just one stage of his power grab.

** This simple passage about ThePowerOfLove, about Amanda Givens, who lost her first husband in battle:
--->'''Narration''': Colin and Jiltanith had watched helplessly as [Amanda] hid herself in her duties, sealing herself into an armored shell and investing all the emotion she dared risk in Tamman's son. She'd become an automaton, and there'd been nothing even an emperor could do about it, but Tsien Tao-ling had changed that.\\
Many of the marshal's personnel feared him. That was wise of them, yet something in Amanda had called out to him, despite her defenses, and the man the newsies called "the Juggernaut" had approached her so gently she hadn't even realized he was doing it until it was too late. Until he'd been inside her armor, holding out his hand to offer her the heart few people believed he had... and she'd taken it.

natter

*** The epilogue of the first book mentions that they put in place a gravity emitter for that problem. As for the Apollo site...given that Apollo was most likely driven by the mutineers humanity might not remember it so fondly as we do.
*** It's not the ''orbit'' of Earth which would lose its stability should the Moon vanish. It's the axis of rotation. Which would still mean chaotic seasons in the long run.

** Not necessarily a waste; it could be an early cancellation of the series, to concentrate on the more popular HonorVerse.
** Even more importantly, most of the original characters would be dead by the war against [[spoiler:the Achultaani AI]], which is usually a major turn-off for the audience. HonorVerse is a long runner, too, but doesn't span the epic time scales of EftA, even if you include out the prequel stories.

* CompleteMonster - The villains of the first and third books. Anu stands a good chance at being the most evil man in the history of mankind. To put it in perspective, ''Hitler'' was one of his subordinates! "Mister X" from the third book was one of Anu's followers and rivalled him in heartless evil.
