** There's also a DeletedScene where Kron saves Neera and the orphaned youngsters from raptors, angrily claiming he won't do it a second time. While it was cut, it clearly shows that Kron wasn't entirely evil even if you go with the first interpretion of him. Of course, there is also, apparently, a deleted scene where he calls the lemurs "weak" and suggests Aladar abandon them.

Complete misunderstanding of herd mentality. A \'\'mammal\'\' herd still has to protect some of its members.

** A quite disturbing one; Kron's social Darwinism may have been put in there to show how being raised by the lemurs made Aladar "turn out right" . The lemurs are portrayed as caring, empathetic and nurturing of those who are weaker than them, even accepting the reptiles who show Fantas, whilst the reptiles accept a cruel social Darwinism, with a unempathetic "the strong must survive!" mentality, and show FantasticRacism towards the "weaker" mammals (calling them ''little parasites"). In essence, the mammals (and those who show mammal mentalities) are heroic and that reptiles are evil. Even though most characters are reptiles, ReptilesAreAbhorrent still applies.

** You also have to remember, that, as harsh as it is, the characters are dinosaurs so it is not so much social Darwinism (as they have no technology that could help weaker members) as a reference to natural selection.

The Scrappy is about hated \'\'\'characters\'\'\'.

Nightmare Fuel cleanup; see the thread for details

* HighOctaneNightmareFuel: The close-up of the Velociraptor's eye after Eema saying ''"you consider yourself lucky that's all that's following us"''. ''All'' the scene involving Carnotauruses. The whole meteorite rain scene, especially when Aladar dives in the raging sea from the top of a 500ft tall cliff, ''with the tiny lemurs upon its back''. And they [[FridgeLogic all magically manage to survive]].
** One of the DVD games--it's dark, it's raining heavily, and you're wandering alone in a series of caves. One wrong step, and [[spoiler: a Carnotaur charges out of nowhere and kills you.]]

** LawfulGood: Eema and Baylene, both good-hearted but also followers of Social Darwinism (they complain about Kron only because the latter "drives them on unmercifully").
** NeutralGood: Neera. Although she seems having the same spirit of her brother, she's not completely in agreement with him ("we'll loose half the herd").
** ChaoticGood: Aladar, rebelling himself against Kron's rules. And Plio as well, caring about the dying lieutenant Bruton ([[CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming and touching his heart with this]]).
** LawfulNeutral: Bruton. He is not a true bad guy, he simply obeys his leader. The rest of the herd, included the two little orphans, arguably fit into this category as well.
** TrueNeutral: Url (obviously). And Yar as well, he seems to do nothing during the journey.
** ChaoticNeutral: Zini and Suri. The first's puns do annoy Bruton, while the help Suri gives to the "two little Aladars" was a spontaneous, childlike one.
** LawfulEvil: Kron, if you think his social darwinism [[AlternativeCharacterInterpretation is a ruthless way]] to lead his herd (as said above).
** ChaoticEvil: Carnotaurs and Raptors.
