The lemurs are portrayed as caring, empathetic and nurturing of those who are weaker than them, even accepting the reptiles who show Fantas, whilst the reptiles accept a cruel social Darwinism, with a unempathetic "the strong must survive!" mentality, and show FantasticRacism towards the "weaker" mammals (calling them ''little parasites"). In essence, the mammals (and those who show mammal mentalities) are heroic and that reptiles are evil. Even though most characters are reptiles, ReptilesAreAbhorrent still applies.

** You also have to remember, that, as harsh as it is, the characters are dinosaurs so it is not so much social Darwinism (as they have no technology that could help weaker members) as a reference to natural selection.

However, Carnotaurus looks more like horned Tyrannosaurs than real carnotaurs (which were ''smaller'' than Iguanodons).

** LawfulNeutral: Bruton. He is not a true bad guy, he simply obeys his leader. The rest of the herd, included the two little orphans, arguably fit into this category as well.
** TrueNeutral: Url (obviously). And Yar as well, he seems to do nothing during the journey.
** ChaoticNeutral: Zini and Suri. The first's puns do annoy Bruton, while the help Suri gives to the "two little Aladars" was a spontaneous, childlike one.
** LawfulEvil: Kron, if you think his social darwinism [[AlternativeCharacterInterpretation is a ruthless way]] to lead his herd (as said above).
** ChaoticEvil: Carnotaurs and Raptors.
