* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: While still pretty low quality compared to the contemporaries and probably there's StylisticSuck in effect for some weird designs in the game, ''Death Crimson OX'' is pretty up to par in terms of gameplay and fun factor for light gun games at the time.
* WhatDoYouMeanItWasntMadeOnDrugs: Look at the premise of this game. Not even looking at the proper translation for this will make sense, and makes you wonder if the developers were taking some kind of FantasticDrug or something like that.

* SoBadItsGood: Notoriously so, to the point where it is considered a legendary ''kusoge'' ("crap game") in Japan. Reasons include the amazingly atrocious graphics and unintentionally funny music.

* HilariousInHindsight: The title sounds like a pretty apt descriptor of [[TheDragon Omega]] (or rather, [[spoiler:Omega Zero]]) from ''VideoGame/MegaManZero3'', and the game's [[SurprisinglyImprovedSequel much more serviceable arcade port]] being named ''Death Crimson OX'' dovetails nicely with Omega's "playable" appearance in ''VideoGame/MegaManZX'' as its InfinityPlusOneSword, Biometal Model '''OX'''. Additionally, the plot point of the Crimson being discovered in ancient ruins is similar to how Zero is found in an abandoned laboratory by Ciel at the beginning of ''VideoGame/MegaManZero1''.
