* FridgeBrilliance: "Family first, now and forever". [[spoiler:No matter how much Nox claims to admire Aurora's charity and good heart, she'll remain at her mother's side. Also can be taken as Nox not identifying Aurora as family, as she's a step-sister by marriage. "I'm sorry Aurora, we're not together" indeed.]]

* ClicheStorm: {{Justified}}, as the game is a FairyTale and hence takes recurring elements from classic fairy tales.

* EvilIsSexy: [[spoiler:Umbra and her daughters]] are all quite beautiful.

* ThatOneBoss: The GiantSpider boss. The mini-boss minions are bad enough, being extremely fast, but the boss takes that UpToEleven. Not only does the boss come with two of the minions as flunkies, but is just as fast, gets an automatic speed boost if you interrupt it, can heal status effects, can paralyse, hits like a truck, and is extremely resistant to damage on top of being a DamageSpongeBoss.

* ItsPersonal: [[spoiler:Norah's betrayal]] was this for many ''players''. The game so masterfully handled the build-up and character development that it's not uncommon for players to have [[PlayerPunch taken it personally]]. When it finally came time to battle [[spoiler:Nox]], for many they approached the fight with genuine, righteous anger, making it one of ''the'' most cathartic and satisfying boss fights in the entire game. ''Even more than the defeating the BigBad'' [[spoiler:who ''murdered the player character'' in the backstory!]]

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Composed by Béatrice Martin, also known as Cœur de Pirate, the game's soundtrack is quite masterful and [[AwesomeMusic/ChildOfLight has its own page]].

She is first introduced under the alias "Norah" as Aurora's incredibly loving and caring older stepsister and becomes an ally, guiding Aurora to a MagicMirror in the sky to take them home to her dying father. However, it is revealed that the magic mirror was tampered with to take them to a prison tower where the Queen of the Night waits to kill Aurora. At this moment, [[EvilAllAlong "Norah" betrays Aurora and reveals that she had only pretended to be a sweet sister to her, has never considered her family, and planned to kill her all along]]--all with a [[{{Sadist}} sadistic]] SlasherSmile--[[BreakTheCutie which traumatizes the poor girl]]. Future events imply that Nox is involved with or may even be responsible for the Ogre that eats the Piscean race, leaving Genovefa as the LastOfHerKind, and her neglect to mention her blood sister Crepusculum (a.k.a. "Cordelia") during her standoff with Aurora in the Cynbel Sea after Crepusculum's death in battle implies that she doesn't even care about her own blood family on any deeper level than sharing their ideas of power and hierarchical superiority.
