* GodDoesNotOwnThisWorld: The "Dasher Hatfield" persona and mask are owned by Chikara, so once Chikara shut down Dasher opted to rebrand himself as Avery Good, rather than work out an arrangement with Mike Quackenbush to allow him to license the name for future usage ala other Chikara alumni. Ironically, an offer was made to Dasher to let him use the mask and name again for his final matches after announcing his retirement but the wrestler turned the offer down.

* HillariousInHindsight: An actual InUniverse example. As part of the buildup for ''Young Lions Cup V'', where Create-A-Wrestler's new gimmick would be revealed, CHIKARA posted [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6yv5mgecHA this video]] with different wrestlers offering their opinions. Among the suggestions were "El Supermercado," "UsefulNotes/{{Buddhis|m}}t [[Wrestling/BrutusBeefcake Beefcake]]", "Olympia," "Million Dollar Clam," and [[Series/SavedByTheBell "A.C. Slaughter"]]. In the clip, Create-A-Wrestler begs God that he doesn't get set up with a lame gimmick (a reference to Dasher's disdain for the furry inspired MosCOW gimmick). The gimmick he ended up getting was Ultimo Breakfast, which was conceived as a temporary gimmick for Dasher until he could be given the one that would define him: the Dasher Hatfield persona.

** The Boomer/Dasher feud also ended this way, assuming that one of Dasher's final matches isn't one last match against Boomer. Dasher and Dan Champion both brutalized Molly McCoy to the point that she didn't know where she was in the ring during his "mask vs remask" match and ultimately won the match, forcing Boomer to unmask. Afterwards, both Dan and Dasher planned to drink to their victory in the ring while Dasher unmasked his son, until Molly intervened and after unmasking, Dasher pretended to want to offer his son an apology hug before moving out of his way and rejoining his partner outside to celebrate their win.

* NonIronicClown: Dasher was this for the bulk of his career, especially once he assumed the Dasher Hatfield persona. Then the heel turn came...

Added DiffLines:

* SourOutsideSadInside: In real life version. Since his heel turn, Dasher has stated in out of character interviews about his frustration with playing what he felt was a one-dimensional good guy and how he felt that his gimmick as a masked mustachioed baseball themed wrestler had effectively resulted in him being treated as a laughing stock by more serious indie companies such as Ring of Honor, NXT, MLW, and AEW as being the motivation for him pushing to both turn heel and remove his mask. Furthermore, he has stated that it was only after finalizing his shedding of his old Dasher Hatfield persona and his announcement that he was retiring after a near career ending injury, that he he started getting offers from indie companies for work. This in turn reflects his sour/sad character/IRL persona as his character, since unmasking, has been playing up the fact that he was arguably one of the best athletes in Chikara history and how his new arrogant attitude being a reflection of Dasher's IRL frustration of playing a goody-goody type that never had a chance to shine as an athlete because of the mask and character he played.

* Expy: To former Chikara alumni Equinox. Both were the top face of Chikara during their respective eras (Equinox in the 2000s, Dasher in the 2010s), both turned villains and repudiated their previous heroics, both lost of their masks which only made them even worse villains than before, and both retired without any sort of redemption arc to their stories.

* HarsherInHindsight: The entire partnership between Dasher Hatfield and Mr Touchdown becomes this given that Dasher eventually betrays his former friend and ends his career.
** The "Supper At the Hatfields" shorts, that Dasher starred in during the "lost year" of Chikara also fall into this given how the shorts introduced Boomer and focused on the father and son relationship. Even moreso when you factor in a recent twitter video/promo Dasher did, where he provided a massive lore drop on Boomer's birth (that he was conceived out of wedlock when Dasher was only 18 years old and that Boomer was basically abandoned by his mother for Dasher to raise on his own, making him a single father who was barely an adult himself when he had Boomer).
* The bulk of Dasher's career as well becomes this given how he has since repudiated the "Dasher Hatfield" gimmick, arguing that it and the Dasher Hatfield mask damaged his career and effectively prevented him from being able to get work outside of Chikara along with pigeonholded him as a "good guy" in the eyes of fans. To the extent, that when offered a chance to end his current retirement tour with a face turn and redemption arc, Dasher flat out refused to go along with the offer due to him preferring to end his career as a heel. Since abandoning the mask, many wrestling pundits have argued that as well, that the entire "smiling masked babyface" persona did Dasher a disservice and kept him from reaching his true potential as a wrestler.

* HopeSpot: After losing his mask, Dasher attempts to reconcile with Boomer to get him to team with Dasher and Molly at the 2019 King of Trios tournament. Sadly, during their sole match at the tournament quarterfinal round, Dasher's villainy resurfaced with a vengeance when he tried to unmask Fire Ant in a fit of rage after losing and reaffirmed his villainy.
* HumiliatingWager: Lost a Mask vs. Mask match to Boomer Hatfield.Hatfield; then got revenge on Boomer, unmasking him when Boomer baited him into a "mask vs remask" match after Dasher repeatedly repudiated his previous persona after rebranding himself Avery Good.
*TheGhost: Dasher's youngest son and daughter and wife; referenced extensively on his social media pages but not appearing in the ring and in storyline, they are in truth Dasher's actual children in real life.

* MoralityPet: Molly McCoy. In spite of everything, Dasher does care for her and his turn to villainy became cemented when she left his side full time to team with Boomer and replaced with Dan Champion.

** Subverted behind the scenes. With his recent announcement that he intended to retire this spring, Dasher was offered a chance to briefly reclaim the Dasher Hatfield name and mask for his final batch of matches along with an out to his current storyline where he became a villain. The wrestler refused this offer, opting to have his character go down an unrepentant villain in the end.

Dasher Hatfield is an American {{Professional Wrestl|ing}}er known for his work in Wrestling/{{CHIKARA}}. He debuted in 2007 as Create-A-Wrestler, with the idea being that fans could suggest gimmicks for him. At ''CHIKARA Young Lions Cup V Night I'', June 22, 2007, he was reintroduced as [=MosCow=] The Communist Bovine. That ran its course, and he went back to being C-A-W again. At ''Young Lions Cup VI Night I'' on June 13, 2008, he was reintroduced as Ultimo Breakfast. At ''Young Lions Cup VII Night I'' on August 14, 2009, he was reintroduced yet again, this time as Dasher Hatfield. He is a former [[http://www.wrestling-titles.com/us/pa/e/chikara/chikara-t.html CHIKARA Campeon de Parejas]] with [[Wrestling/MarkAngelosetti "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti]] as The Throwbacks and is the [[http://www.wrestling-titles.com/us/pa/e/chikara/chikara-g.html CHIKARA Grand Champion]].

!! "The Old-Tropey King of Swing":
* ActionDad: To Boomer Hatfield.
* AntiquatedLinguistics: Speaks in turn-of-the-century dialect.
* TheAtoner: In late 2016, after he realized that Mark Angelosetti wasn't willingly a part of Nazmaldun's cadre.
* BadassMustache: On his mask.
* TheChosenOne: To lead the fight against Nazmaldun, as seen in a vision by Ophidian. Although Dasher pinned Hallowicked to win the Cibernetico, it was Ophidian who used the Eye of Tyr to exorcise Nazmaldun from [=UltraMantis=] Black, and then enlisted the [=Thunderfrog=] to destroy it.
* EdibleThemeNaming: As Ultimo Breakfast.
* EverythingsBetterWithCows: As [=MosCow=] the Communist Bovine
* FaceHeelTurn: At the end of season 19, shockingly, turning him into a FallenHero.
* FinishingMove:
** (as Ultimo Breakfast): Sunny Side Up, He's Toast (Crucifix powerbomb).
** (as Dasher Hatfield): Suicide Squeeze (Death Valley Driver), Grand Slam (second-rope powerslam.) When teaming with Sugar Dunkerton as the Throwbacks, Dunkerton would follow the latter move with a top rope elbow drop, and the two moves combined would be called a "Grand Slam Dunk," thus combining Dasher's baseball gimmick with Sugar's basketball one.
* HeManWomanHater: "Hater" is a strong word, but after his rudo turn he's started making some repugnant comments about the idea of getting beaten by a girl.
* HumiliatingWager: Lost a Mask vs. Mask match to Boomer Hatfield.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: As Create-A-Wrestler in his match with Grizzly Redwood at ''If The Airplane Is Snowed In, Put Your Bloody Skis On And Get Going!'', February 20, 2009. During the match, [=CAW=] rolled out of the ring and came back with a plate of flapjacks (pancakes.) He gave Grizzly a flapjack (Head Spike) into the flapjacks!
* ItsAllAboutMe: In spite of what he may claim about his motives for not giving Mr. Touchdown the Grand Championship back.
* JerkJock: As of season 20, is turning into one.
* LegacyCharacter: Create-A-Wrestler was made one with the introduction of Create-A-Wrestler II.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: When he realized that he was in part to blame for Mr. Touchdown being brainwashed by the heXed Men due to his inability to forgive him.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: He's been a video game option, a cow, an AnthropomorphicPersonification of a daily meal and is now a turn-of-TheTwentiethCentury baseball player.
* RedBaron: (as Hatfield) "The Old-Timey King of Swing"
