* {{Gamebook}}: There were a pair of entries in the ''Find Your Fate'' series based on this show, adding an interactive element to two episodes of the show.

** Snarf has an entire race ''[[UpToEleven and a planet]]'' named after him, along with a nephew named Snarfer. Curiously, it's revealed Snarf actually has a name (Osbert), but he insists everyone else call him Snarf anyway.

* OvernightAgeUp: In the episode "Trouble With Time," Tygra wanders into the Cave of Time where he ages into an elderly man. This is reversed by having him drink from the Geyser of Life.

* PlotRelevantAgeUp: See HumanPopsicle.
* PoorCommunicationKills: In "Slaves of Plun-Darr", the Thundercats have been trying to get the liberated Brute Men to escape from Castle Plun-Darr. They'll all confused by what they're trying to tell them, until...

* JamesBondage: Tygra, and the [[NeverLiveItDown fandom runs away with it]].

* HumanPopsicle: How the Thundercats made the trip from Thundera to Third Earth; Lion-O undergoes a PlotRelevantAgeUp because of a faulty cryogenic pod

* YoungerThanTheyLook: Chapter 94, "[=ThunderCubs=], Part 4" introduces the Canyon of Youth, a region from New Thundera where everyone who enters becomes youinger. Some of the Thundercats fall under the spell of this place, Cheetara among them. It's impossible not to notice that Cheetara seems to have been pretty well developed during her preteenage days, where she shares a scene with Wilykit. They were about the same age (probably with Cheetara being at least one year younger), but Cheetara had boobs, while Wilykit was still flat.

* YoungerThanTheyLook: Chapter 94, "[=ThunderCubs=], Part 4" introduces the Canyon of Youth, a region from New Thundera where everyone who walks in there gets rejuvenated as far as a baby. Some of the Thundercats fall under the spell of this place, Cheetara among them. It's impossible not to notice that Cheetara seems to have been pretty well developed during her preteenage days, where she shares a scene with Wilykit. They were about the same age (probably Cheetara being at least one year younger), but Cheetara had boobs, while Wilykit was still flat.

* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: "Snarf Takes up the Challenge" gives an unexpected example in the form of an animal not regularly depicted as cute at all in media: a bat. Just look at [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/thundercatslair/images/2/20/Bat.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140726051646 it]]!

* FeudEpisode: In "The Chain of Loyalty", Mumm-Ra gets a hold of the Chain of Loyalty and [[NiceJobBreakingItHero Lion-O accidentally breaks it]] while trying to retrieve it. This causes the other Thundercats to start fighting amongst themselves.

** In "Time Switch," Lion-O is exposed to gases from a Suspension Capsule that make him grow younger over the course of the episode. This is reveresed by entering the Cave of Time, where you age many times faster than normal.

* HilariousOuttakes: The infamous blooper reel, often [[FanNickname referred to as]] ''[[http://www.google.com/search?q=blundercats BlunderCats.]]''
** Even better, they became so popular that the "samoflange" blooper was referenced in other media including the [[WesternAnimation/ThunderCats2011 remake]].

** In "Thundercubs," Panthro, Cheetara, Tygra, Snarf, and Snarfer wander into the Canyon of Youth, were they are regressed to children. As before, this is remedied using the Cave of Time. In "Return of the Thuundercubs," Panthro, Cheetara and Tygra fall victim to the Valley of Youth again, but this time are restored by the Mirror of Truth.

* [[ShutUpKirk Shut Up, Jackalman!]]: Slithe's fondness for diplomacy and free discussion along with an [[TalkToTheFist empathetic shoulder pat]] for Monkian quickly "soothed" any unruly behaviour from those two.

* BerserkButton: The Ancient Spirits of Evil do ''not'' take kindly to Mumm-Ra deciding that he doesn't need them anymore after he gains possession of the Golden Sphere of Seti. They're so angry, in fact, that they not only send the sphere far away, they refuse to transform Mumm-Ra into his Ever-Living form, and while they eventually agree to do so, once he reclaims it, they threaten to forever ban him from the Black Pyramid unless he surrenders it.

** In one episode, Wilykit and Wilykat destroy one of the hoverboards and are grounded by the older Thundercats, with them saying there's no way to build another one. A few episodes later, the second hoverboard that was apparently destroyed is back and working again.
** In another episode, Tygra discovers a special formula that would replace Thundrillium as the fuel for the Thundercats' techonology, as Thundrillium was getting too scarce and difficult to find. This is never mentioned again and they're back to using Thundrillium a few episodes later.
