Sure, their enemy may be monsters and easy enough to tell apart from natives, but it leads to FridgeLogic (and FridgeHorror) about the possible massacre that might've happened if they had landed on an equally innocent planet with inhabitants who look less than human/Galalunan. We find out later that they were sent to Earth specifically ''because'' they looked so much like Galalunans... but the masks the soldiers were wearing and their "shoot first, ask later" attitude didn't help.
