''Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart'' is an animated adventure comedy from Creator/CartoonNetwork and Creator/{{Titmouse}}, created by Parker Simmons, a former storyboard artist for ''WesternAnimation/OKKOLetsBeHeroes''. It was announced on May 20, 2019, alongside a full-series pickup for ''WesternAnimation/AppleAndOnion'', the second season of ''WesternAnimation/SummerCampIsland'', and ''Tig N' Seek'', coming in 2020. In addition, the pilot episode was posted on the Cartoon Network app that same day.

The series will follow Sheriff Mao Mao, the explosive loner and famous hero; Badgerclops, the lovable oaf; and Adorabat, the adorable sidekick; who work together to bring justice and peace to the people of the valley.

Leading into the premiere, eight new episodes will become available on the app on Friday, June 28. The series will make its official debut Monday, July 1 (6:10PM ET/PT) on Cartoon Network, with new episodes continuing to premiere Mondays through summer.

* AwesomeButImpractical: Pretty much everyone in the rogues gallery of Orangusnake. Having metal wings is cool, but definitely isn't useful for... y'know, flying.

* DisneyVillainDeath: It's not entirely clear if it ''is'' a death, but all but three of Orangusnake's henchmen end up plummeting to their dooms because of Mao Mao's interference with their roll call, and they're never seen again; NeverSayDie could very well be in effect, as he later asks "who's left" as if to ask "who's still alive".
* EyepatchOfPower: Badgerclops wears one.

* FunnyAnimal: Mao Mao, who is a cat, Badgerclops, who is a badger, and Adorabat, who is a bat. Pure Heart Valley in general seems to be populated by these.
* GoldfishPoopGang: Orangusnake's pirate gang become this after Mao Mao ends up leaving his gang reduced to just three members, not helped by the uselessness of his only mooks.
* GoryDiscretionShot: In Not Impressed, Mao Mao (from what we can tell) decapitates the dragon, not visible to the audience but ''[[InnocenceLost very]]'' visible to the children watching.
* MixAndMatchCritters: Orangusnake, the main villain of the series, who is a cross between an orangutan and a snake.
* MyGreatestFailure: Mao Mao, who broke the Ruby Pure Heart by crashing into it, instantly decides the moment he learns that it was his fault that he'll stay there and make up for his actions by protecting the valley, as that is what a real hero would do. {{Downplayed}} when Orangusnake indirectly points out that doing this would make him legendary, as he gets pretty excited and takes his atoning as an opportunity to become a legend.
