[[WMG: No one knows how to actually play Tetra Master]]
Various NPC's talk about how they don't understand this card game. No one seems to understand the rules or mechanics. There doesn't appear to be a company who makes the cards or any kind of instructions. This is why the card game itself is so random, everyone is kind of making things up as they play.

I find it kinda strange that this isn't a common theory; while the two don't look very similar physically they are both sinister airships that first employ circles of red energy (the thing with the concentric circles of red light the Invincible does in Alexandria and Madain Sari, the strange magic symbol the Ark etched into the ground) and then attack with a devastating laser cannon. They are also both tied to Terra to some extend (the invincible is a Terran airship and the Ark descends from Terra's red moon when summoned)

[[WMG: The Ark Eidolon is based on legends about the Invincible]]
I find it kinda strange that this isn't a common theory; while the two don't look very similar physically they are both sinister airships that first employ circles of red energy (the thing with the concentric circles of red light the Invincible does in Alexandria and Madain Sari, the strange magic symbol the Ark etched into the ground) and then attack with a devastating laser cannon. They are also both tied to Terra to some extend (the invincible is a Terran airship and the Ark descends from Terra's red moon when summoned)
So considering all this, I think its plausible that somebody saw the Invincible destroying a place, recognized it was an airship (but couldn't make out any of the details) and from his tale a legend grew that eventually created the Ark summon (since Eidolons are born from legends and all)
The only thing that doesn't seem to fit is that Ark turns into a robot during its attack, but this could be explained by somebody, somehow learning of Garland, the Invincible's master, who's an artificial being (possibly from the same source that linked the Ark to the red moon/Terra. In the tales this got confused with the Ark and its master being one and this led to it becoming a shape changer.

As the original Tumblr post has been deleted;

Ruby is the true Princess of Alexandria.

** In Ruby's concept art, her skin is actually a light blue colour. That would make her and Queen Brahne the only two humanoids we meet who have blue skin. Coincidence? Ruby's skin could be more lightly coloured because she takes after her presumably lighter-skinned father. While Ruby and Garnet don't look terribly alike as adults, they both have similar figures and both are quite attractive. And as small children tend to look quite similar to one another, it's very possible that they resembled each other when they were younger. They also appear to be around the same age, give or take a couple of years.
** Ruby and Garnet are also both named after a red coloured precious stone. Better yet, garnets are sometimes known as 'false rubies'. Additionally, Ruby is the only member of Tantalus who isn't named after a character in Lord Avon's plays.
As for how Ruby, aka the real Princess Garnet, ended up on the streets of Alexandria? That's a little more difficult. One theory is that the original Princess Garnet didn't actually die, she was just extremely ill and slipped into a coma that made the royal doctors think that she had died. In the confusion with her 'death' and Garnet's arrival, the real Princess Garnet was able to wander out of the castle, with no memories of her former life due to her illness, and was found by Baku.

!! Necron is the eidolon representing fear of oblivion.
Somewhat related, this seems to be a popular Japanese theory. Kuja's last vindictive act basically 'summons' Necron from the Crystal. Eidolons are born from memories, myths, and legends, so Necron is the embodiment of every being's fear of death/oblivion, made manifest by Kuja's incredible power. The fact Kuja summoned it is the reason it bears Terran motifs, such as the focus on eyes and the resemblance to the faces of Oeilvert.

Necron's Japanese name is more like "Eternal Darkness" than anything to do with death. Kuja's final Ultima destroyed the Crystal, returning reality to the Void. The personification of the Void appears (thematically, the Grim Reaper of universes), but is beaten back by Zidance and co. This drives back the Void long enough for their memories to restore the universe, somewhat like Doctor Who's 'Big Bang 2'.

As in, it's not just the heart of IX's universe, it's the heart of the entire Final Fantasy multiverse. Zidane's party travel back to the beginning of all things. For a brief moment, the fate of the entire multiverse is in their hands. Necron is the Eternal Darkness beyond the multiverse, the one true enemy of the Crystal, and the ultimate source of the desire for Void which drives Exdeath, the Cloud of Darkness, and the like.

The Ring Leader demon enemy is encountered on Terra. It's a diminutive mage creature veiled in black with glowing yellow eyes, wearing robes accented with crossed brown laces, and a fancy hat. When Kuja designed Vivi as a prototype Black Mage, he based it on one of Terra's few remaining creatures, following which he scaled up the design.

[[WMG: Vivi had a real ticket until he was tackled and Liela swapped it with a fake.]]
it's an easy old street con; a kid bumps in to a traveler and steals something of theirs. it's entirely plausible that when Vivi was tackled and he drops his ticket she makes the switch, there's a clear pause before she turns around to give it back. and with as many forged tickets around as the ticket master comments on her having a dupe already and using it is entirely possible. we also see her near the church that Puck uses to get in to the castle giving her another in.

If this game had voice acting (or if he appears in the next ''{{Dissidia|FinalFantasy}}''), it's pretty obvious who'll be voicing him in the English version.

Eidolons are created through memories and stories shared by a large group of people, the memories work the same way as a fayths dream but passively. Aeons are stronger than eidolons because they have dedicated dreamers while eidolons are made up of lots of little memories.

Father.
!! Necron is a fal'Cie.
The fal'Cie were created to find the "Unseen World" while Bhunivelze slept for eternity. The main antagonists of XIII, its sequels, and Type-0 were all fal'Cie trying to open Etro's Gate, the only barrier blocking the "Unseen Realm." Each fal'Cie tries its own method to try to open the Gate, with Necron's method being destroying an entire world, and forcing Etro's Gate open. Pretty much just like what the Cocoon fal'cie tried to do, but on a much larger scale. All he needed was a world with enough rage and despair to fuel his destructive power. Enter Kuja, who couldn't deal with the fact that his expiration date was right around the corner.

* Kuja was still barely alive when Zidane went for him. It was not shown but it is very obvious that he used his last remaining energy to shield Zidane from harm, thus him being able to return to Garnet and have their happy ending together.

* Fanfic into the trash bin but I won't do that. The Final Fantasy series has nothing to do with all the Anime out there whatsoever.

to:

* Except that Eiko is a White Mage with some Summoner traits while Relm is a virtuoso. Also, Amarant doesn't have a dog and his father is not shown so jossed.

* Unlike other beings Beatrix came across, the party members are "special". Them having Trance, something which Beatrix herself doesn't have and she is probably as surprised as Steiner when he witnessed Zidane's Trance, except that she does not show it.

to:

* Not confirmed but not jossed either. Before becoming the overweight guy he is, Baku was probably just like Zidane back then.
