[WMG: "Ramrod" is an acronym]]
Bulba calls it a "reality-altering mechanism" when he shows it off to Scrooge and the nephews, but leaves off the other half to avoid calling attention to the part that makes it dangerous -- it's a Reality Altering Mechanism for Reaching Other Dimensions: RAMROD.

[[WMG: The upcoming Darkwing Duck reboot will correlate to Ducktales' DW]]
Why are names like Creator/SethRogen and Evan Goldberg assigned as producers on the reboot? It could be so the show isn't ''totally'' similar in tone to the DT reboot, maybe giving it a DarkerAndEdgier but still comedic flair. Some of the DT writers will later pitch in so that it doesn't lose too much footing and that the characters remain the same as when we last saw them, to help smoothen the transition for fans. For a show that's otherwise tying up its loose ends, the Darkwing material has a lot on the table that could be served in a reboot of its own.

There's already Gizmoduck, of course. We'll then be introduced to the reboot's Morgana [=McCawber=], Stegmutt, and Neptunia.

* About confirmed speculation is that Gosalyn will be real in-universe. Frank Agnones did say that "Darkwing Duck is not Darkwing without Gosalyn", after all. The real question is whether Drake has already adopted her or if that is coming up in an upcoming episode either on ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales2017'' or a new ''Darkwing'' series.

* There's also speculation that Donald Duck may become Papernik/The Duck Avenger to team up with DW and Gizmoduck while also bring the mostly Italian comic-based hero to a more mainstream presence. A big contributing factor is Donald being in a place to deal with an alien invasion, like it happened in the Duck Avenger comics that were also made for a US audience. Also, it would create a superhero trio to match up with the other trios of the show.

* Some speculation is going around that this episode might be a BackdoorPilot for a Darkwing Duck spin-off series. Given how Della has returned by this point and how she was the one flying Scrooge and Dewey to Von Drake's vault instead of Launchpad, it's possible that Launchpad could leave the show and appear intermittently due to helping Drake Mallard be a real-life Darkwing Duck.
